  • Hi,

I am going to Australia.for hols near the end of the year to visit family and I am thinking of buying a PS3 to play and for family to use as a Blue Ray. But also was thinking of purchasing the Play TV. My question is would I be best to buy one from the uk and take it with me or buy one in Australia at the same time I purchase the PS3.

They both support DVB - T but what about the freeview HD channels

  • I've got a fairly full PS3 HDD. Is it possible to record the data to an USB external HDD?

  • hay mate, u rekon its worth buying the play tv in australia due to the fact that australia is so far behind in technology and will be compatiable with few things?

  • yeah i never thought about that

how is the playtv coping with australia apart from no sbs?

  • what do you mean

  • Ok so you're saying you imported the PlayTV Hardware and software to Australia - From UK? Ebay? Then installed it on an Australian PS3 and you got 100% channel pick ups?

Wow thats awesome if thats the case. One question though.. What was the original size hdd for the ps3 you bought, and did you upgrade the hdd? ANy problems installing etc?
