I still got it on 45 no cover , first song i learnt on bass, it made me wonder what is punk? pretty vacant? tube dissasters, new rose? never surrender?
I still dont know but i know it gives me a tingle in my soul so fuck it. bring back the vapours i say.
See em or don't.Can't believe you've all got and held all your old views and principles.Good luck to them all.Make a bit of cash to support their grandkids!!More of these gigs would be great.Bring em on!!
What is sad to me is that most here doesn't see the sadness in this. Steve Ignorant hosted this? - I'm glad I left England for my internet wife of 7 years.
Was anarchy just a fashion statement? Disco lights might have helped back then... dance till you dissent or something.

This video took play at the feeding of 5000, A show put on by Steven ignorant of Crass, yes there were lights and it was big venue. but Flux and Steve have a large following now and how else would they get all those people in the building if its not a big venue? most bigger venues have good light systems. its 2010 now. Flux wants to get there message out to people and what a better way to do that than playing in front of thousands of people. They didnt sell out, stop bitching.
What's with the fucking light show? Are they U2 now or something? Jesus fucking Christ, it's like Beatlemania with anarchopunk or something. I mean, the Subhumans still tour occasionally but they don't turn into Pearl Jam when they go on stage.
I still love these guy's music but I'd rather never see Crass or Flux live then see them like this. The only band I've seen reform with dignity out of this group has been Amebix.
@niallist your probably that fucking guy with a spikey leather jacket and mohawk to the sky. punk rock T shirts galore and every band on vinyl " cause it sounds better" fuck off you wank, these guys have more punk in them then you can ever buy at hot topic.
@jdmdrift I fucking love Flux and Crass, and maybe it's a personal taste thing but that's why I hate these gigs so much. They hated light show bands when they were young, and now the gigs look like a disco. I never wore mohawks or leather jackets, but it's these gigs that put great bands like this one step closer to Hot Topic, and I've seen that happen to so many great American bands (Black Flag, DK, Op Ivy) that I don't want to see it happen to UK ones.
I kinda agree wiyh you but those bands have millions more fans than they ever did when they were about, reforming to play one more gig for old gits and the many who never had a chance because of age isn't exactly selling out. If they did a world tour and six gigs at every venue, then that would be selling out (it was sold out ironically).

Its a shame thier shows were not filmed in the early 80's. This isn't music to be played by old blokes. Do they get cheap tube passes these days!!

makes me feel old. finding this music when I was 16 meant a lot to me. This is how nostalgia can be painful.
