Katie, Very nice performance. There is a reason it played so long, not only in NY, but other cities as well. I first saw the San Francisco production at Ghiradelli Theater in about 1968. It's still my favorite stage production, and I am almost 60 now.
Might as well learn with the best material . . . and you delivered a solid rendition.
I've done it once with a chorus... Granted, the choral harmonies had to be written in, which was a lengthy process, but it was worth it. The director utilized them GENIUSLY. They were plants in the garden, peices of the wall, they took part in the fight seen, they were the tree that Luisa and El Gallo sit in... If they're good at keeping blank faces, it works out amazingly
im not one for a fan of swooping in this musical or ever but its whatever your director wants i guess......

Lesson 1, learn how to spell your character's name :) Just a joke. Hope it went well!

@LarkinProductions did I spell something wrong? I am certain that the libretto spelled the Girl's name "Luisa", but many people write Louisa.

@katie1twin No that was directed to theaterkid07. She spelled Louisa, but you're right. in the libretto, it's spelled Luisa.

@LarkinProductions I'm sure it's said Louisa but it's spelled Luisa...at least that's how it is in the playbill and the script...

Like this show but it's got limited appeal to companies as only small cast required, my chorus need to be kept busy.
You guys did a good job. You have a great voice and very pretty.
