I like the tan with the bronze hardware. Very cool collector knife. I don't know if I would pay that much for a user knife. That is a really cool looking knife though. Thanks Kirk I have been waiting for this video for sure!!! Pretty cool with the venting in the blade and the Tritium illuminated actuating button! I like it! Your right about the colors and the sheaths. Tan comes with the tan, and black and gun metal grey come with standard black. Personally Tan is the way to go.
Well my Sebenza is within that price range and it rarely leaves my pocket. In New Hampshire I would carry this knife over other Scarabs because of the practicality of the knife's single edge. That plus the venting would broaden it's use-- adding the versatility we all need in our day-to-day lives. For all I know my car could veer off into a lake at any time........ I must be prepared.
You do make a very good point there Kirk! Always be prepared...its very true especially now-a-days. I like the way you think. Practicality of this knife is quite perfect for EDC and for saving your life once in a while. I definitely consider it a good user knife now for sure. The fact that it is awesome just sweetens the deal! You the man Kirk!
Not certain-- they recommend rinsing it thoroughly in fresh water after use and letting it air out I believe. I would assume so-- or else it's just a glorified Scarab. And if you lived in New Hampshire this would be a very practical option. You would actually use this knife JohnWayne. It's single edged, drop point blade, with plenty of belly, would be a very handy knife all around in my opinion. Knife Rights needs to hit your state next apparently.
Thank you man. Buy the way, not diggin' the WASP knife. I'm not planning on takin' on any Mako sharks any time soon-- and I'd have a better chance warding off a bear with either bear mace, or my Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri.
@apophysis7 Yeh but imagine shankin someone in the neck good bye head, i agree besides mountain lions not to many creatures bigger than me around but theres a coolness factor to splitting a watermelon in two
Very Nice Blade, love the color! Awesome update on the new laws passed. Go Ar. and NH. Thanks for sharing, also great quaility on the video. Your videos are one of a kind keep up the great work.
Pretty ironic, who would've ever thought that I could drive 20 min. to New Hampshire and have knife freedoms more liberal than my native state. We are indeed in strange times my friend. Thanks for droppin' by as always.
haha your videos uses such a high quality camera it takes such a long time for the entire video to load, it keeps on buffering on my computer. but either way nice quality what are you recording with?
Canon Powershot SD960IS. It runs at a max of 720p-- but for me it's sufficient enough in light of the fact that there's now 1080. You think 720p is bad, try loading 1080. 720p is as high as I desire going-- to me I really can't tell much of a difference between these two supreme formats.
@apophysis7 My videos are in 1080p but a lot of times it's not really worth waiting for it to load unless you are looking at something really close. When I watch my own videos, I watch it in like 480 or 380 whatever the lowest is
Yeah, knife laws are often so ridiculous. Here in CA, there is a 3" (non-dagger folder) concealed carry blade restriction...at least here in L.A. county. All this does is restrict what law abiding citizens can carry, don't see it deterring criminals in any significant way. But it's good to hear some of our rights are slowly being given back to us.
Yeah partner, we are witnessing a huge backlash against the establishment. Free people make less disgruntled people. No one likes being unjustly controlled.
Man, something I wish they had included for all their knives-- especially helpful for the ones kept out of storage. Underwater for military personnel. For the rest of us, in the rare event our car drives into a body of water and could function as a seat belt cutter. I guess you could take it scuba diving-- just be sure to rinse it clean through all venting areas.
Don't ever waste your time trying to figure out Microtech-- it's like readin' Egyptian hieroglyphics. Some times the company is spot-on, other times not. To me it's we aren't seeing that makes them the gold standard in automatic knives. If everyone saw their angle then they'd just be another run-of-the-mill knife company. The president, Tony Marfione, is very eccentric-- when his creative synapses are firing we get the Halo V-- when they aren't we get the Katana series.
were do i get this and how much will this set me back ?
