This does bring up some valid points considering Mcvey being overlooked in favor of pursuing Muzlims. But it's present day security is not based on Oke City. It's based on 9/11. In this case, those who oppose rp have to make up their minds & define racial profiling the same way when called on as when left to their own devices. It's funny how they don't bring up racial profiling of serial murderers in this video. They're almost exclusively white. It makes sense to look at the white suspects before looking at the black suspects. Gender profiling works the same way. If there is a murderer poisoning the elderly, statistically the killer will most likely be woman. Any detective who would waste time looking for a black sexual sadist or a male poisoner would be a bad detective.

The majority of crimes commited in this country are by afro-americans and all the terrorists were muslims and arabs. @JimmyDistant there are more white people in jail then any other race but most media show color people bing arrested because it makes biger news. the terrorists you mention were also disturbed individuals that were brainwashed they were not acting in their right mind. that does not mean that every muslim is a terrorist. @ANANIME89 your wrong..there are more blacks in jail then whites here are the statistics that can be checked on the internet. There are over 308 million people in the U.S. of which over 272 million are whites. now according to the FBI 1% are in jail which means over 2.7million are in jail, Now the blacks have a population of over 12.6% which is about 32 million. Out of that the FBI states that 10 % are in jail which means close to 3.2 million blacks are now in jail. Nice going for 32 million.

You know, I hate racists as much as the next guy, but don't try to deny that a black guy who looks like a gangster is more likely to have something illegal in his car then a white guy in a suit. Racial profiling maybe wrong, but it's necessary.

If the crime SUSPECT is black then okay but if you assume that the crime is done by one type of person you let all the other crazy people go.And if I made such a good point then why aren't whites profiled. The point I made was it stereotyped a PERSON without looking at the CRIME. profiling waste time and when whites are the ones profiling they tend not to profile themselves.

@blueiguy1 Whites are profiled in a lot of cases (such as child molestation or sometimes rape). Also, what studies have you read? Almost anywhere I look, crime rates among blacks are much higher then crime rates among whites. Profiling works AND makes sense. If an officer stops a guy who looks like a crip and sounds like a crip, is it not okay to search the guy's car? Isn't he more likely to be carrying a gun then an old white lady? Should they all be treated the same? I think not...

@CommunityCam I'm not talking about profiling a specific race, I'm talking about profiling in general. You CAN'T treat everybody the same, it's not going to work. In airports, they search children and old people the same way that they search a Muslim. Now, I have nothing against the Muslim, but who is more likely to carry in a bomb, the old lady and child, or the Muslim? Racial profiling is a necessary evil that has been shown to work very successfully in countries like Israel.

But many whites fail to realize were in the same boat. The stop and frisk policies are illegal. But then again what else should minorities expect..

@blueiguy1 Look, I think that morally, profiling is wrong. I'm also not trying to come off as a racist, because I'm not, I just recognize the fact that statistically there is higher crime among certain groups of people. When I refer to profiling, I'm not talking about race, I'm talking about groups of people (old people,tall people, etc.). If we're talking about whether profiling is wrong, then there could be a debate about that, but if we're talking about whether it works, the answer is YES!

@CommunityCam White cops are profiled for racism all the time . I think it was Justice files that followed the case of a suspect who would rather die than be subdued & kept from taking the officer's gun. The judge tainted the jury by showing them a Rodney King clip, The judge did everything she could to make the case look racist, but nobody cared. He was charged w/ murder & given a life sentense, just because he wouldn't protect the suspect from his own suicidal resolve.

Everyone profiles in different ways everyday because its just a learned pattern from experience. Point is that racial profiling has a basis is in real life and statistics. In most cases racial profiling is just people being more suspicious which isn't all that harmful.

I hate when people twist the facts to serve thier views. profiling is not total tunnel vision. If my child came up missing I'd hope the police would check out the most likely suspect first. and not check out the women and children FIRST so as to not step on anyones toes.

The problem w/ racial profiling is that it assumes that particular races of people are inherently dangerous, without context. In addition to being patently absurd and shameful, it's bad policing. If your child came up missing (God forbid), you wouldn't want the police to say "Our procedures require that we pull every white person in for questioning. They're the race that's most likely to abduct a child." You'd want them to be free to do real police work based on the facts of your specific case.
