  • @riderazor05

pink toe would be a better choice

  • hey jon i was wondering how often your tarantulas eat.

  • @pieheadguy

Actually your answer is in the very first few seconds of the video Once every 10-14 days which is the time frame you see a new feeding video posted.

  • Are these in buckets in your bedroom? Geez, I am so terrified of these but keep watching these great videos, lol!

  • @KnoxBlondie

    yup they are

  • :O there was one part in the video when u called them cute

  • how often do you feed them?

  • @hasanarkan

watch every feeding video, you see a pattern

  • Do you have any curly Haired?

  • @RabbitHBMM

I have 2. One is a 23 year old female and a 2 year old suspect female

  • @Jon3800 hey jon i took your advice on the colbaltblue and i just wanted to say thank you... It reallyhelped me alot and from what i can tell i have a fairly docile species i cans end yo a vid if you want of my avicularia virsicolor also.. i took your advice on the substrate too and i put the colbalt on a virmiculite typeof substrate that was recomended by a freind and it burrowed almsot the same night..

  • @brandonn1233

Now, is it just only vermiculite or is mixed in with potting soil? Vermiculite alone is far too loose to sustain a burrow. and your lividum will get stressed and can die if it can't make one. (this almost happened to my M.robustum).

  • @Jon3800 it has some of this potting soil mixed in as well, and i'm sure my frend told me that had it no pesticides of any kind in it and it'sthe same that he has been using for his turantulas.. he has eight of them but yeah.. it helps keep the hummidity to be about 75% for the avic but i can always spray it as well because i spray the avic walls daily. Then i keep the colbalt blue on a different kind of a substrate due to the fact that they burrow so i give them more leaneage in that sense..

  • @Jon3800 23!!! is that really possible?? Hey From my video's can you tell if mine is Female??? & also i have pictures on my facebook, if you add me can you please have a look at the pics i took?? I'll be over the moon if i have a female Curly hair, She's (suspected) beautiful <3

  • @RabbitHBMM

23 IS possibly as Brachypelma females are known to live in excess of 30 years if you take good care of them.

If it's the one named Mouse, Sorry it's impossible for me to say male/female. While it is a very beautiful specimen, it's just the wrong type of video for sexing. Because Mouse is young, I can only be 50% sure its male/female. The odds suck because Juveniles males and female look exactly alike. If she was adult I would be more comfortable

  • @RabbitHBMM

To really sex your tarantula, I would need a clear picture or video of either Mouse's ventral (ie underside) of the abdomen or BETTER if you have an intact molt, open up the abdomen area and take pics of them so I can check to see if there is a flap. That is the only sure way I can tell if she's a female for one that young, taking a picture just of your specimen on the substrate won't help me at all for sexing

In case you're not sure, watch this vid watch?v=S6vbduw-cCw

  • @Jon3800 hey jon, ill email you the latest pic i took of her/his underside x

  • @RabbitHBMM

Its alot better if you can provide a molt. Underside sexing is only 60% acccurate. Take a REAL clear pic. If it's way too blurry I CANNOT help you.

Like you've seen in my ventral sexing....possible females have wider booklungs and you'll see the slit (epigastric furrow) between it.

  • you feed them every time with the same food , jon .

isnt it boring for the spiders ?

    (sry for my bad english)

  • why is it that my rose hair won't eat like those do? infact when the crickets get near it it runs away.

  • @Yasting90

a lot of G.roseas (rose hairs) tend to ignore food. Actually they are quite well known for refusing food for months. I have a red form rose sling that hardly eats.

  • @Jon3800 ok well that's good to know.. how about it being skiddish? holding it is ok, it's calm in my hand, but opening the cage or spraying makes it go nuts.. also it freaks out when crickets get near it.. I thought I was gonna wake up with a cricket in the cage and no T hahahaha.. btw got it when it was a few weeks from being able to be sexed, and it still hasn't had it's first molt yet so it's young.

  • @Yasting90 dont worry mine dose the same

  • @Yasting90 I think all roseas will stop eating in winter months, mine does too.

They can stop eating for monthsss, pretty normal for the specie so don't worrie! Just keep trying sometimes...

  • P.metallica hands down! Like them even more then H.lividum!

  • i didnt know they could regenerate legs.

    beautiful spiders man

are bird eaters legal in USA?

  • @Ellustrium

it depends on what species, but yes they are legal

  • hey are emerald skeletons aggressive

  • @stingsandbites6

They are very fast and can be quite defensive. It's not a tarantula that I would handle

  • hey are emerald skeletons aggressive

  • for cheap?$

  • for cheap?$

  • for cheap?$

  • for cheap?$

  • wheercan i get a cobalt blue female??!

  • @rmartinezakabima

try online dealers or Arachnoboards. H.lividum mature females are around $60

  • trust the rosea not to be interested.

  • they never eat lol

  • woow really great :)

your cobalt blue is very beautiful *.* i love the color :)

  • will tarantulas eat dead crickets or mealworms

  • yes, if you trick them thinking its alive

  • lol

  • this is a nice video cuz u have a variety. tarantulas are so cool. i wish i had this many. i only have a female pink toe and a female rose hair. i want a cobalt blue and king baboon not to hold obviously, but i really like them just to look at and observe

  • lol, you won't get to see them much, they hide...ALOT lol.

  • i know they burrow and are very secretive. but ive heard sometimes they burrow against the glass so u can see them. the pet store where i live has a cobalt blue and they gave him only about 1/2 and inch of bedding so it cant burrow and they have a floresent light on top of the cage and ive been told tarantulas dont like bright lights. they also mist their rose hairs and what i know which is isnt much but rose hair are a desert species. a lot of sites say rose hairs need high humidity. idky...

  • thats your typical pet store. It will die if kept in such conditions. All u need for rosies is overflowing the waterdish...that's all it requires for humidity

  • How big is your parahybana sling??

  • My sling's a good 2 inches now, I sexed it to be male. He appears in the latest feeding video 24

  • Jon, about feeding dead crickets to slings, is it important that they are freshly dead or are the ones that die in the cricket house OK?

  • better freshly dead

  • hey Jon, Great Video as always. love your pokies :)). im thinking about getting my first what would you say to be a good first Pokie?

  • regalis, since its the cheapest and most readily available of the pokes

  • that salmon pink birdeater is very cool

    very cool

  • WOW that green bottle blue is beautiful great spider.

  • It's been about 9 days since my P. irminia slings ate anything and they're still pretty plump, so I think I might be getting molts sometime this month. Can't believe it's feeding video 21 already!

  • Such beautiful tarantulas. Thanks for posting the advice on feeding slings. Chris :)

  • ace vid as usual!

  • would your turantula's hurt you :o ?cool video =)

  • yes, some can do some damage

  • oh ok, there still really fun to watch and probably feal a bit weird if you hold one just because they look kinda scary i wanna get 1 so bad lol =)

  • i handle some

  • ooooh cool dude =) the ones that you dont pick up a lot do they bite or scratch you?

  • they're too skittish and bitey

  • oh ok i guess that would be a good reason not to hold them a bunch you would;nt want to drop it by accident that would be bad =( and it would hurt i suppose if you got bit =( thanks for awnsering my endless questions lol =)

  • and also most of their bites are quite serious, pokies can put you in the hospital

  • dang that would stink to have to go to the hospital because of them :(

  • lol pokies

  • good video and crickets suck as feeders for ts cant u get a b dubia colony going

  • wish i can but, when you're at your parents, its there rules

  • why does the (10) haplopelma minax have such a small abdomen? Is that normal for the species?

  • she molted like 2-3 weeks ago

  • can a spider get fat

    or do they just grow

    or not eat?

  • spiders can grow and get fat. They're grow when they molt

  • "Crap this is gonna be a short video"

    *Watches the time*

    10:35!?

    wow short.. hehehe..

  • usually I put in about 20-30 Ts in my feeding video :)

  • Why did your crickets die?

Can you tell me what crickets eat?

  • old age.

dried dog food, carrots and lettuce

  • Great thx a bunch, I'm going to buy some soon because winter is coming and I can't catch anymore.

  • Nice video. :) Do you know when your getting your shipment from Alex080?

  • I have absolutely no idea, he is very busy to ship them

  • Great video Jon, however I think some of them were thinking why should I eat a cricket when there tasty fingers lingering about, lol!

  • for a good 1 inch
