  • Great song Hari-Son. Srila Prabhupada ki jay!!!

  • Hare Krishna,

  • Those Hare Krishna books by Srila Prabhupada ROCK! Wonderful!!!!

  • This verses stated out of context just to manipulate the meaning. It never acknowledge a pedophile cult which commands those other religious people tortured in the name of God.

  • shudhama poapvidham” “He is bodyless and pure.” [Yajurveda 40:8.“na tasya pratima asti “There is no image of Him.” [Yajurveda 32:3.“Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste” “They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements”(Air, Water,Fire, etc.).“They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti.” [Yajurveda 40:9 Sambhuti means created things, table, chair, idol, etc.

  • puh yuck!

  • @dariod2007 why would you say something like that?

  • @Knockturnall1 because my kittens jump on my lap everytime I'm on the computer. Unfortunatly they FART and it smells pukey.

  • @dariod2007 haha ok. that's funny! :D

  • All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

  • Like it. I hope George Harrison and Srla Prbhupada are together in Godhead.

  • I've been to the Palace of Gold a bunch of times. It's awesome.

  • Thanks Prabhupada and George Hari son

you were my Gurus teacher for opening my eyes and heart to Krishna since 1969

causes of theses matchless gifts of Chanting these Holy Names of Krishna

  • ...if I remember well, the song had already been released at the times when Prabhupada went to London in 1969. In that occasion he was a guest with some of his London devotees, in Lennon's mansion near Ascot. The single "Hare Krishna Mantra" reached n.7 in the "Top of the pops" charts that friday, and George was there to celebrate. In any case the song cannot have been inspired by that 1969 meeting...

  • Can anyone actually cite a non-Internet source that the song has anything at all to do with Prabupada? The only evidence I can find seems to be Internet rumor only. I researched George Harrison and published an article about him on the anniversary of his death, and never came across any sign that "Here Comes the Sun" had anything at all to do with Prabhupada. In fact, the Joshua Greene book confirms the Eric Clapton story, not the version of events Mayapurvision is advocating.

  • The CIA and the racist western secret organizations conspire and murdered this great soul. They felt his (non-evangelical)spiritual movement was spreading like wildfire all over the world that poses a danger to their political, cultural and religious system. These satanic dogs planted child molesters and murderers in PRABHUPADAS movement to blemish his good name and take over and destroy the Hare Krisna organization.

  • Transmission received

  • Waay coooool

  • Haribooool!!!

  • Jay srila prabhupad for showing the light. All glorious to you.

  • The White People look ridiculous.. like they dont fit or are trying to hard to fit or something

  • YEAH THATS TRUE HE(HIS DIVINE GRACE AC BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI PRABHUPADA) IS THE REAL SUN WHO GAVE LIGHT TO THE WORLD

  • Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare, Hare! Hare Rhama, Hare Rhama, Rhama, Rhama, Hare, Hare!

  • dedikation til hare krishna

  • é muito legal

  • if the illuminati were smart they would taken over his message and used it as there on world religion. But they are not smart. This is why THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN DEFEATED. Dont let your tv fool you. the game is OVER.

  • Thanks for this . . . I always thought that this song should put to a clip of Srila Prabhupada. Jai Prabhupada!

  • We're wondering what spiritual authorities do you follow that allow you to make a comment on how people can connect with God? ISKCON Devotees of Krishna follow the Vaishnava parampara in the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya sampradaya. My point is: in what way are you connected with God yourself that allows you to comment on how God interacts with everyone else?

  • @LIRwebsite ISKCON devotees were connected to Lord Krishna, since they rejected the Order of the current Acarya, unfortunatelly they are not any more connected, at least most of them. Why? The rejection of the order af an acarya makes everything asara, useless. ISKCON is driven away from Krishna by stupid desire to imitate the pure devotee. It consits now mainly of cheaters gurus and their cheated disciples. There are some glorious exceptions in ISKCON, a rare souls, and only Krishna knows why.

  • @LIRwebsite I can't see the comment that my comment in mid-March 2010 relates to (just in case you're wondering what I'm talking about), Tim

    (maybe it's been removed)

  • Hare Krsna, please accept my humble obeisances. Can you fix the sound to where the quality is better? Haribol, thanks for this.

  • Being a songwriter myself, and a Beatles fan, and a devotee, I can see that this is a mix of influences.

Like George said in the Beatles Anthology: his Beatles life was sufficating him, so he went to Eric Clapton's house and wrote this. Surely he was still a man of the world, but one can also feel his surrender in this song, and we all know that Prabhupada showed him the way.

  • He was frustrated in the studio.. he went out side and did sun salutations.. the way bhakti showed him... his mind cleared.. this song came.. born of the lovely sun salutation...

  • I never heard that this song was inspired by Prabhupada... and I'm a beatle fan since many years.

I've always read in the books and heard in many coments about The Beatles and George Harrison, that the song was composed in Eric Clapton's house, on a sunny day of spring.

  • I have already answered this in reply to the previous comment.

G.Harrison himself told devotees that he wrote this song on insperation from his first meeting with Srila Prabhupada. Hare Krishna.

  • OK... but it's the first time that I heard this, for my surprise. Of course, I knew that Harrison was a devoted of the Hare Krishna's.

In other way: I've listened two days ago to the theme "Govinda" here in Youtube (by the Krishna Temple of London, recorded in 1969), and since that, I'm in love with this song.

  • Sorry... the song "Govinda" was performed by THE RADHA KRISHNA TEMPLE, recorded in 1969, and record produced by George Harrison

  • glad you liked song, hare krishna

  • @migaraphael haha dude r u mad or what, like trying to proove that u know better....enjoy da song

  • it'sOK, there always a first time for everytjing :-)

  • @migaraphael and there was also a (lost) photo of George which he was working on with this song In clapton's garden and you are right it was a sunny day.. (here comes the sun)

  • I have respect for Prabhupada, but this song is not about him.

  • all due respect - who are you to say this? when the author of the song himself offered it to Srila Prabhupada (actually said this is an offering to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada), he just met devotees then and wrote this song on the inspiration from their association.

  • Prabhupada the Son of Krsna to deliver all the Fallen souls of this Material world. Golden Age of Lord Krsna coming soon.

  • Surya Namaskar !

  • Wunderbar. Gott hab ihn selig.

  • I still believe in the future eve if it is not for me....

  • Hari Bol

  • I sing this when the sun is rising (once again) before I even thought about sleeping

  • This song means so much to me. It is such a metaphore for the ending of dark times and the prospect of better times to come.

  • es un maravilloso cantante y que tuvo la gracia de conocer a sri KRISHNA a tiempo hare krishna por siempre.

  • Hari s son - son of Hari :)

  • "Here Comes the Sun" was written at the time when Apple was getting like school, where we had to go and be businessmen: 'Sign this' and 'sign that'. Anyway, it seems as if winter in England goes on forever, by the time spring comes you really deserve it. So one day I decided I was going to sag off Apple and I went over to Eric Clapton's house. The relief of not having to go see all those dopey accountants was wonderful. And it was then the song was wrote with a guitar and Eric Clapton.

  • (Eric Clapton had nothing to do with it but was present about 50 metres away)

  • Some people judge the others whitout knowing them personally, because this is just reflection of how deep they are staying in ignorance and under the influence of their proudness they forgot that they will be judged.Unfortunately, particulary this people are makeing many many terrible sinful activities!!!

  • All Glories to Srila Prabhupada ! ! ! Srila Prabhupada Ki Jay !

  • Ravi Shinkar

  • thsnks to have sunshine in mylife...

  • thought the Beatles wrote n sang this

  • george wrote it. beatles recorded it. this is the beatles´ recording in a very special mix... to say the least... i dont quite see the point of destroying the sound???

  • Actually can you tell me where Lord Krsna was "killed" by a hunter? Which sastra, which guna, who translated it, what their sampradaya and which acaryas confirm this? Nobody minds you worshiping Lord SHiva, Lord Shiva is great for shivaites and in the shaiva sastras he is considered supreme, however in the uttama siddhanta it is Krsna that is concluded to be Supreme. Krsnastu bhagavan Svayam. Vaisnavayam yatha Shambu.

  • in the West nobody seems to care much about it. we only care that Krishna consciousness makes you a better person.

  • Yes, Krsna consciousness if applied correctly does make u a better person. I was replying to

princegoutham who stated nonsense and has disapeared.

  • The sun came to give and dispersed the light in our hearts

    and shared it with others

and made these people the devotees shine in our lifes

George understood it very clearly with his songs

listen to them with your heart

  • Gandi is not an avatara of God, he is a regurlar man. Krishna is the ORIGIN of everyone and everything, so He can manifest in many different ways, so the different types of people can understand Him. Krishna is the original personality, all-attractive and very sweet. Hare Krishna.

  • Krishna is the original personality of Godhead - from whom ALL other personalities manifested, including Lord Siva.

I really can't take seriously people who say "God can't do this or that..." Why can't He do anything He wants, what's the point of being GOD then? God does incarnate in many, in fact numerous forms - simply for His pleasure.

  • Great video, in a way we can say that dedicated to two great men with a beautiful soul :) Did you know that His Divine Grace Prabhupada used to refer to George as "his Archangel"? Sweet!

    Hare Krishna!

  • How beautiful! Hare Krishna! What a sweet, humble and obedient soul George was.

  • I never knew this song was a tribute to His Divine Grace. Thats cooooooo!

  • me neither that just makes it so much more enjoyable

  • yeah peter tosh did sang that one too !

Krsna is the best ! Hariiiii !!!!

  • krishna das , from , hamburg , city , remembers , radha kund , & vrindavan , HARE KRISHNA ,HARE KRISHNA , KRISHNA ,KRISHNA , HARE HARE , HARE RAMA ,HARE RAMA ,RAMA ,RAMA , HARE ,HARE . bless thy radha & krishna ,forever , AND GEORGE HARRISON ,WILL BE EVER REMEMBERED BY THE HAMBURGERS , RADHE ,RADHE GOVINDA .

  • que hermosa cancion dedicada a prabhupada! HARE KRISHNA! HARI, HARI! los saluda gopalakrishna!

  • I personally got my eastern philosophic start with George Ohsawa's macrobiotic principles. This brought me to consider the Bhagavad-Gita which I also embraced. God is great!!

  • try chanting:

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare

Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare

it is very fulfiling, mames of God non-different from Him, so this chanting is very strong connection with God

  • amazing Srila Prabhupada!

    jaya!

    jaya george Hari's Son!!!

  • can someone send me this song to my email?

  • Una bella representaciòn de devociòn de un dicìpulo a su maestro espiritual.

  • Beautiful..

  • i met george at the manor,he loved prabhupada ,he was his guru.

  • I love this song. I've always thought of it as a hymn and I really believe that art like this can only be divinely inspired. God bless you for posting this.

    Hare Krishna!

  • mr. prabuhuda i dont blaim any1 except myself. i like to thank you for your great wonderful words that have brought a sign to my mind. i probally ignor them.please understand i live in america. home of the corrupt rasana.i just wanted to try to fin dsomething better than what im living for.its great that we were able to listen to words from a man of your stature.ty mister and i hope this all changes for us all. please watch for your children and many more that believe in your ways.

  • Thanks for the video

  • here comes the sun and srila prabhupada. as if george has written it for him. how nice. thank you.

  • Not "as IF" but he actually wrote this song in glorification of Srila Prabhupada.

When he finished writting it he immidiately called Shyamasundara and sang it over the phone for him.

  • thanks for commenting.

i did not know that. that is interseting. where you got that from?

  • It's called History. My husband was in London those days, he knows it, but you can ask Yogishvara (who even named his book "Here comes the Sun") or Shyamasundara Prabhu himself (his mail is on PAMHO)

  • Yogishvara is Joshua M. Greene? I've read his book but didn't find that information there. First I thought this is a speculation. But since already two persons confirmed it, it might be true. Anyway, excellent photos of Prabhupada and a great song.

  • How does one go about searching for an individual on PAMHO?

  • by subscribing to the service, the open list of members e-mails is the part of the deal.

  • No he did not. I happened to be hiding behind one of the trees in the garden when George wrote that song....He dedicated the song to all the beautiful trees in the world...

  • Even with my stone heart, I almost cried.

  • oh I just read your comment 'about this video' yes you knew!

    Thank you again!

  • thank you -this is so beautiful! I want to say that when the Beatles wrote this song they called up Shyamasundar and told him -hey I just wrote this beautiful song about Srila Prabhupad and it goes like this -and he started singing here comes the sun --over the phone to Shyamasundar--so either you have allready heard about this or you just picked up on it --wonderful!

  • Yes Prabhupada is like the Sun, where those who came after him, are like the flashlites, with many batteries going dead.

  • I will respond to this because I see someone took it wrong. Srila Prabhupada was a Pure Devotee so His Divine Grace is like the Sun. None of the rest of us that follow are 'pure'. Krsna consciousness is not easy. Only Srila Prabhupada made it look so. Many of our 'batteries' do go dead, but then we recharge by the Grace of Krsna and start again. I wouldn't trade this life of service for anything this world has to offer. All Glories To Srila Prabhupada!!

  • Hare krishna!

  • Who is Joshua M. Greene, who wrote the book "Here comes the Sun". Is he Prabhupada's disciple?

  • I never heard of the person you mentioned or the book

  • Here Comes the Sun: The Spiritual and Musical Journey of George Harrison

     By Joshua M. Greene
