Nice tune, is that a Yamaha U2 model? I learned on one of those myself. Indeed, no lessons but my own intuition and joy for music. We share the same style: cars, music, and cold beer - able with everything, expert at nothing.
@CoolCarsHotGuitars Yeah it does sound nice for an upright. Those Yamaha U2 models (especially the one just befor baby grand) had a fantastic sound for an upright form factor. But, Yamaha generally has a more "bright" sound. Indeed I've seen quite a few of those Kawais. In Japan and much of Asia it is a household name I guess. Keep playing. BTW, I'm so disappointed to see that kind of shotty work from those dipsticks (no names mentioned). 5 mins worth of googling surfaced plenty of negatives.
I'm hoping that is a compliment?...lol. Turn that small amount of skill and turn it into a great amount. Keep practicing and never stop learning. There is so much I wish I knew. I am by no means an expert on this stuff. I just share what I know so others can learn and hopefully benefit. Thank you for watching!
Hey Peter! Now I know why I struggle so much. You sucked all the talent out of the gene pool!!! Between the guitar playing and the piano playing and the master car building...you are blowing the curve for the rest of us "regular" guys!!!! ;-)
Thanks for exposing the "time bomb". I will grind mine out at the earliest chance I get. And thanks again for the videos. I wait for them like I used to wait for the Sears Toy Catalog back when I was a kid. Thanks
I'm just a regular guy too. At least I think I am.
I'm making the videos as fast as I can. I'll have the one about paint repair, color sanding and polishing done by the end of the week. My Cobra block is almost done at the machine shop and I'll be welding in the injector bungs next week. Hopefully I'll have a motor build video soon.
That is a possibility. What is more likely to happen is that the frame would twist under load and the front wheel alignment would be off. Either way it was a critical joint that should have been welded better.
I know how you feel. I'm building a Streetbeasts Cobra for a client and every step of the way it fights. Nothing fits or goes togather as designed. Know I want to grind off those plates on his frame and see whats underneath. Have you added the steering column? I did and it took about a day of chasing parts and another day of fabricating to get it in properly. Keep post videos on the build. I need all the advice and help I can get.
I'm doing the best I can. I actually started making these videos because I saw how poor the kit was and wanted to help people that buy them and have no idea how to solve the problems. There is really no technical help anywhere. Thanks for watching and good luck to you.
it looks like they were trying to kill someone

I hope they didn't do that as a standard practice or someone will get killed.

It's a Kawai K50. Its a studio standard because it has a the baby grand harp. It sounds incredible and is real fun to play.

You are too much! I have a small amount of skill in restoring cars but after watching you I've decided at age 62 to learn how to play the guitar!
