  • Is it hard like hell to tune an untuned Banduria?

  • @xcalibur0645 no, actually its very easy if you have a tuner, :D a tuner is about 440 pesos in the Philippines. :D

  • @AshiharaNakatsu12

No, I mean that hella tons of strings

  • @xcalibur0645 you just have to strum each string and when the color of the tuner goes green, it means it is in tune ^_^ if it shows red, then the string is not in tune :D

  • @AshiharaNakatsu12

Um... I am talking about tuning all of THAT STRINGS, because there are many strings, thanks for the info though ^_^ I am planning of buying a tuner because I have a guitar, I also play the violin.

  • I used to play the Banduria in grade school back in Marikina, Philippines. It was short-lived though. My 16 year-old daughter now plays the guitar. I want to introduce her to the Banduria. Any suggestions? May chordbook ka ba niyan? Salamat. Your daughter is cute.

  • Sadly, walang chordbook yan. :( The bandurria is capable of producing chords but its not meant to be that way. Try watching our video. Please type Celso Espejo Rondalla. Thanks.

  • Beautiful smile, cool instrument! Thank you for posting this video!

  • whats a banduria??

  • Thanks for your comment!

The original bandurrias of the Medieval period had three strings. During the Renaissance they gained a fourth string. During the Baroque period the bandurria had 10 strings (5 pairs). The modern bandurria has 12 strings (6 pairs). The strings are tuned in unison pairs, a major-third above a standard guitar, to G#, c#, f#, b, e and a

  • The Philippine Bandurria is actually a 14-stringed instrument - grouped into six (3,3,3,2,2,1 from right to left) and is tuned G,D,A,E,B, F#

  • wait is that a sure fact?

    tuning G,D,A,E,B,F# ???

im trying to learn it by myself and i cant really find out how to tune it, but i read somewhere its right to left g#,c#,f#,b,e,a

    please let me kno thanks

  • yup. im confident that the philippine bandurria is tuned from the thinnest-gauged string G, D, A, E, B, F#. all rondalla groups in the country tune their instruments this way.

the one you are referring to is i think for a bandurria - in spain.

  • @rhymyx I Used to play the banduria

  • she is so cute !!! Doesn't even look at the frets

  • Thanks!
