I'm agree. Her target is to present her voice and beautiful PV like this. I think the way she presents herself look like Shimatani Hitomi, singer in the same label with Alan (Avex Trax). they both present their wonderful voice, beautiful PV and enchanting music.
This must be when she first started out in the Japanese market. The PV is made specifically to cater the Japanese taste. I'm glad she's evolve somewhat from this and incorporate more of her interest and heritage into songs and and pvs.
Ive seen this chick on TV. She was featured on the soundtrack to 'Red Cliff'. Shes got amazing range and thats her specialty. I think she would have a bigger following here in Japan if she didnt have an accent which makes it hard to listen to.
You can tell if you listen carefully. Chinese people can usually pronounce english more easily than Japanese can (Who cant even pronouce "F").

hmmm this is her 4th single, not really one of her first. Ashita e no sanka is her first, and that song aimed to emphasize on her tibetian wail.
but yeah this pv doesn't really show her out real well though. But trying out a different genre isn't all bad lol.
