P.S. I took that tip from Luke Donald - I searched on youtube for Luke Donald Bunker Tips. It looks like you're doing the same thing in your bunker shots - 02:18 on this video - releasing the bounce of the club into the sand with the right-hand.

One comment though: the one thing very few instructors seem to mention about bunker play is impact. The intention with almost every other shot is to hit DOWN & compress the ball - i.e. shaft & hands leading - this leads to digging in a bunker & is horrible.
In a bunker, its the opposite - the bottom of the club is thrown into the sand, by the right-hand. Once I learned this my bunker play improved dramatically.
