@DarkFly3r No it is not, to fix the issue, go to the menu bar on your desktop, click the apple logo, then go system preferences and then click 'startup disk'. it should state your mac's ssd and a network startup. click your ssd drive as the main startup drive and hit restart. if this does not work, clear your system cache, repair disk permissions or simply do a re-install of OS X. i would suggest you seek information on the internet. :)
Man I was so happy they announced a netbook version of the laptop but then the price reared it's face and I lost interest again. Damn you Apple and your stupid premium prices.
I own a Macbook for a little more than a year, my battery is expanding and Apple does want to change it, even though it is not my fault. So you buy a new mac air and throw out it a year later?
@Neueregel All mac products come with Airport which is with and blue-tooth(apart from the Pro) It don't have Ethernet because its meant to be portable so your not really going to be hard connecting it to a network. Read up on a product before you start saying shit, or you will look like a bit of a tool =D
I heard about this new bios thingy-mi-bob a few years ago that will allow computers to boot almost instantly... take it they are actually using them now :D cool!
start up times grow slower the older the computer is on account of the age and amount of space left on the hard drive/ programs the computer opens up on start up
@jtl10777 exactly, bit a pointless comparison. Even if they were both wiped clean it wouldn't be fair since many of the components (hdd etc) in the older one would have degraded from use
Is it normal for the old MBA to startup on black screen with SIL on for a long time?

@sUpErHeRo15xx Thanks bro! I have verified my disk and found out some files needed to be repaired. Repaired the disk so far so good. Cheers.

@AndreasAottiotta Yes, fresh boot. You don't get the chime sound during waking from sleep (either suspend-to-RAM or hibernation).
