Kee Marcello plays 14 notes per second, and John Norum plays 15 notes per second!! no matter the speed, simply the different style. both are amazing in his their styles.

@arameselmejor Hitting strings fast is one thing but then it comes down to HOW you hit the strings. I would say that they are different and I like both for different reasons. I think that I prefer John though.

All you kids saying Kee is Better than Norum clearly dont know what guitarplaying is about. I get what you mean and think, that its all about speed and playing scales as fast as you fucking can.

Guitarplaying is about feeling, how you interpret a solo or a song and make it YOUR way, its art, John Norum is one of the best examples there is when it comes to real guitarplaying. While Kee is just a "speedfreak" and doesnt have the heart or the feeling for the guitar.

I think Kee is a superior player to Norum, but I give Norum credit anyway for at least trying to play the original solos. That presumably is his decision rather than the band's. He could just play any random solo, but instead he is trying to maintain the character of the song.

Norum can't even compare to Kee. I'm not saying Norum is a bad guitarist in any way, but he can't compete with Kee. Look at the way he plays this solo. All the runs that Kee wrote are replaced with simple bends and his own fills. In my opinion, he ruined the solo, the way Kee wrote it and played it was fantastic. It just sounded right.

norum s great hes got his own style, different, way different from kee..

Someone says norum always plays the same notes.. well i say that kee always plays the same shit too if you listen to his solo works.. all of kee's solos are pretty much tthe same.. norum has something like 7 solo albums.. so i take that they re different in terms of style and sound.. but dont even dare to say who's superior.. there's simply no answer. i like this solo from norum, different from kee but decent.
