Steve Forrest (Billy) is my mother's first cousin. We got visit him ,his brother and mother in 1963..Great adventure~ I wish I knew how to contact him...
In 1987 on the 10th anniversery of Elvis' death I had the privillage of speaking with actor Steve Forrest who played his brother . He said Elvis was so full of life and so healthy he thought he would live to be a"hundred". Sadly he was wrong.
I saw this movie with my sister when we where very young girls ...and we where SOOO in love with him !!! And where both crying at the end of the movie ....our little heart was broken ...
Written by Side Wayne and Sherman Edwards. Elvis recorded it in August 1960 probably at Radio Recorder. It was used over the opening and closing credits of Elviss 1960 film Flaming Star. On the strength of its appearance on the EP Elvis by request, Flaming Star spent seven weeks on Billboards Hot 100 chart, peaking at #14. It was originally named Black Star. It was the A-side to Flaming Star.
This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie. I've always liked the "Flaming Star" motion picture and song a whole lot. I'm so very glad that Barbara Eden co-starred with Elvis in "Flaming Star". As you know, Barbara Eden is best known for her role as Jeannie in the historic and fabulous hit TV Series "I Dream Of Jeannie". I own all five seasons of "I Dream Of Jeannie" on DVD.

He was said to be part Indian anyway, hence that distinctive face.
