  • Not a fan of the Uke, or taking all the character out of the song, your voice doesn't convey enough emotional content for my liking.

  • It's very nice listening to you sing this. Have I mentioned that my interest in Cohen's stuff started with listening to your versions. He should pay you for advertising.

  • It os nothing to do with with Cohen, unfortunately. The Sony Corp are not so enlightened.

  • Beautiful playing and singing Ken! I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year!

  • We had a cold, white Christmas for once, Michelle. I hope you have a wonderful 2011.

  • I love all of your Leonard Cohen covers. Was there ever a better lyricist? I like the contrast of your vocals to Cohen's, particularly later Cohen, when he's low and raspy. Your voice is so clean and at least an octave higher. And somehow, you still always retain the spirit of the original song. Really fantastic--as always.

  • Thanks very much for the comment. I think it is just that Cohen has a much richer timbre to his low notes than I do.

  • There are only 3 chords. Train yourself to listen, not watch.

  • well played Ken. are you using worth's?

  • I am, Jim. Why do you ask?

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele - i'm using worths on my TK35 and it seems really quiet compared to my flea. yours doesn't sound so soft so i was wondering if you were using worths too.

  • Fleas are certainly loud because of the palstic body. Worths are much quieter than Aquilas but not as quiet as nylon strings. Volume is not that important though. My quietest uke is my Howlett custom.

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele - thanks for the info Ken.

  • Great take on this Ken. Merry Christmas and Happy New Nails.

  • Have a great 2011 too, R. I am willing my nails to grow. It is my thumb and second finger. I fly to NAMM on the 11th Jan.

  • @KenMiddletonUkulele Wish I could come with you Ken - it would be great!
