Their is no risk in responding to dropped paper. You can still remain in your bubble, or comfort zone without even giving your name. When someone is at risk and has to put themselves in physical danger for someone else .. that's more true to the original situation. Your experiment does prove that people are willing to help if it doesn't cost them anything.
You didn't disprove anything. When you drop the papers basically right in their lap, do you think they're not going to respond? They feel responsibility when you point them out.
I would suggest trying another experiment that relates more directly with the original experiment.
That was the worst experiment I have ever seen. The original experiments had people having fake heart attacks and people didn't help them. If you're going to do an experiment find out about the original one before saying you've disproved it. (P.S. I haven't given this a rating as you didn't do the experiment)
What does it have to do with Mythbusters???

I'm sorry, I don't want to sound like I condescend your project but you can't compare the case of Genovese with dropping some text sheets.

I'm more likely to respond if people ARE around to back me up. I'm much less brave alone

The situations simulated in your experiment are forceful demonstrations.
Example, if a regular everyday person saw a stack of paper being blown towards them, their reaction would be to pick it up.

You should have done something closer to the real experiment.
