@GuitarGod94XxXx Going to depend a bit on your playing style and amp, but I think the GT-OD just might be the better option if you're looking for something simple that has a nice gain to it. I personally use the CAE Boost/OD more for something that I want to have multiple gain stages that I can switch through, starting with a lower gain going to a higher one. Both good pedals.
hey this is a great video!! i have a question though... what kind of cable are you using from the guitar to the pedals?? ive never seen anything that looks quite like it lol....
@nikitofin (David answering here): I think those are all songs by Dominican Poets, a band which Taylor played in during the late 90's. I'll call Taylor and ask with his permission if I can upload audio to some of those songs to YouTube, although the rights/ownership of those might be in limbo since unfortunately the lead singer passed away a few years ago. I'm unsure if his estate claims rights to those or cares.
@ZenManDj Thanks! We tried to get a lead section in there, but it was a LONG day of recording and it just wasn't coming together. Taylor used to play in a band called Dominican Poets in the mid-late 90's. They were really pushing the edge of things at the time, and 'popular' heavy bands finally caught up.
@ZachDRUMMOND I suppose anything can break. I've found Dunlop to be really excellent about service and replacements even if outside of warranty and without receipts. I myself like to try to keep backups to anything that's mission critical, as even the most expensive and best built stuff can fail at the worst possible times.
@ZachDRUMMOND The earliest volume pedals had an error on the metal band which has been corrected in current production. Your friend can get a new one with the corrected metal band for free from Dunlop if he contacts them
@Tibbon well it sound like to me the GT-OD has more gain. Which is what I'm going for. I like the Boost option on the CAE.
Does the CAE sound anything close to the GT-OD? Gain wise?
If it doesn't then I'll get the GT-OD and the MC-401 CAE boost/line driver.

So let say we're comparing the GT-OD and the CAE/MXR Boost/Overdrive....which would you say is better for more rock?

The "clean" tone from that Two Rock/Gene backer was phenomenal.
Very nice demo indeed. I think I was most impressed with the Green Rhino.
