  • This song took me 25 years back. I was 8- 10 years old but fell in love with one the dancers. I was not keen on the music but the dancer.

But now after 25 years, i startted appreciating and enjoying the song. Maritu had a beautiful voice.

  • yefeker zemen yefeker gize hulum ethiopiawi hulunem yemiwodebt giz neber ..!!! neber byhone noro..!!

  • The guy is amazing!

  • magnificent. without wollo the amhara would have been lost.

  • hahahaa the guy eskista funny

  • best eskista ever! they dont do this no more.

  • And yes i know there are Afar and Argobba, My grandma is from Walloo, shes mixed walloo warra yejju, orgobba, and afar.

  • PPl from wollo are so entertaining, open, beautiful & polite. Just look at the dancers...they are natural, easy going & so funny!

BTW they are not wearing the same dress and are neither dancing the same dance, take a look at them carefully, that's because Wollo is not just wollo it's so diverse. Qalu, borena, Raya...this are tribes found in wollo & thats what they are showing here.

  • @Maliksabawi

Walloo is a sub clan of the Bareentumma Oromoo, Walloo has many sub/sub clans as well.

    Warra Baboo

    Warra Illu

    Warra Himanoo

    Warra Qallu

    Warra Qoboo

    Warra Rayyaa

    Warra Wayyuu

    Warra Yejju

  • @GULABARISO yes but thats only the south east part of wollo, north and west of wollo are mix of Agew, tigre, Amhara, on north east side mix of argoba & Afar. I don't appreciate it when some ppl claim wollo as being a complete oromo clan (not that I mind) but not good to over shadow the reality.

  • @Maliksabawi

I'm not saying all of it is Oromo, im saying its named after the Walloo clan.

There are a some zones in oromia region with clan names. Walloo, Arsi , and Borana. we have cities like babille, and jaarso that are also named after clans, and erer aswell. So please read what i wrote, i never said everyone in walloo is Oromo, i was stating the Walllo is a clan and the rest were subclans.

  • @Maliksabawi i understand what u said but when you put it like that, it gives an impression that wollo is just oromo. Though the current wollo remained under the name "wollo" it's only in south estern wollo that those 7 sons of Wollo setteled..this is what I wanted to make clear. For the rest I was born and raised in south Wollo! Cheers

  • @Maliksabawi

Little mistake, theres a son up north in tigray region assimilated into that group, the Warra Rayyaa walloo.

  • @GULABARISO thats only a name...no wore of wollo live in raya.

  • @Maliksabawi

Trust me, i know a few Rayyaa families from up there. None of them but the grandparents still speak afaan oromo. Rayyaa not only the name but the people, not all tho, some are real tigrays, others agew, amara maybe and rayya oromos are there too.
