Fit an oil cooler and a thermostatic fan - they love to blow head gaskets when they get hot - Fit a massive pair of side draught Strombergs or webers too!
John check out the imp club website and forum, it wont let me post the address here just search google for it.
There are loads of folks on there with great Imps and lots of great pictures and info. You must of had very rich parents or saved very hard to get that as your first car, nice one ;) having said that this is my first car :)
No its not an Imp block, Its a 1.8 vvc Rover K-series.
The engine is standard apart from a larger throttle body, cone filter and straight through home made exhaust. Its mid-mounted running a pg1 gearbox, mgf drive shafts mounted in a metro front subframe. Modified cage to include subframe mounts and Im in the process of making it as light as possible with lots of fiberglass.
deccy, it runs 13.4's its only a naturally aspirated 1.8 which I built mostly on my drive. I have seen your imp before, looks good, give me a few years or a few grand to spend to make mine a bit quicker and we can have a fair race
I love IMPS!!!!!! and even more when i see them beat a modern overpowered car.!!!!

Ouch! Bet the Evo owner was a bit... upset!
Wouldn't mind getting my hands on an Imp, really. I understand they're a bit pricey to hop up and find parts for here, though. Any words of advice?
