I worked E NY for 20 years at all hours. 1981 to 2001 crime scene/ fire rescue for the NYC papers. I'm just playing with these videos.

I have a federal license that supersedes any NYC or NYS law for my radio.

The first vid is them driving up at the last second, he almost got away, as you see he was the first car (truck)

That's a Yaesu VX1, smallest possible receiver you can get

I'm on bicycle, I'm a licensed amateur and that's a ham radio.

YOU aren't allowed to attach a scanner to a car.

Oh yeah, another thing.

If you have your radio and you listen to the cops, that's fine in public, but a violation like jaywalking and you use the radio to avoid them, that's a felony.

That and attaching to a car (Install is the actual word I think)
