You know almost every band in the world has a song with the 2 minutes to midnight riff even, it all started long before 2 mins to midnight if I'm not mistaken, venom or Dio... even though everyone has it, it still rocks especially here..rock on rolf \m/

Of course there are bands that you like to listen to and I'm sure that in the beginning, we tried to sound more like JUDAS PRIEST, when we were still amateurs. And we wore leather gear like they did, studs and I used to have handcuffs and stuff like that. It was in the direction of JUDAS PRIEST until we started to develop our own style. When you want to be a professional you can't just keep copying other bands."

Ok so I was wrong, I apologize, I thought i read somewhere that they got their inspirations from them yes RW are quite different but their song tell stories similar to Iron Maiden and if you wanna get technical RW is my favorite band not Iron Maiden.

So does "Welcome to Hell" by Venom, "Curse of the Pharaohs" by Mercyful Fate, and "Warfare" by Jag Panzer, and those ALL predate the Maiden song. All the songs are great, but it's a simple riff that can be twisted in many ways.

Go to the official RW website, there is an iterview with Rolf and he said that he was influenced by Judas Priest and IRON MAIDEN. Don't believe me look for yourself.
