When I worked in fast food we used a grill brick - When I was in the USN they would use Kool Aid or pickle joice to clean the grills. I don't know why - I was a Yoeman not a MS - I was JOOD once and I asked - The Einstein said '"Cuz it get's 'em clean . . ." Never ask a question if you don't want the answer. Later learned they believed it cut the grease. They would know.

I know that 4 or 5 McDonalds here in Kansas City closed down and moved right around the corner into new buildings. The old ones have been turned into a Law Firm, a church, a dental college and the other 2 are just abandoned.

After almost dying of food poisoning at McDonald's. My attitude towards an abandoned one, is that, this is a good thing!

@Arminas1781 I heard lots of stuff about McDonald's over the years, and chose to ignore it! The food poisoning I got, was unlike anything I ever experienced in my lifetime. It felt like somebody stuck an icepick right into my stomach. I could not stand, nor lay, but just sit, in pain, for three days! Never again. I will never eat, or drink anything from any McDonald's again!

@Arminas1781 I found out later, they were cleaning the grills with soap. The kids they hire, have the best intentions. But, you do not put soap on those grills. Gets into the metal, and there you go...

@Arminas1781 I would get it hot, and scrub and scald it clean with water.. Depends on the place you are at.. But, soap, is a no no... LOL!

@creepcape yeah poor you i know how ya felt i had mercury poisoning from a fish that i caught and ate i know that cannot move feeling i will never forget how sick and painful that was i was also lucky i was about 19-20 i guess when it happened strong enough to survive it .

@hotguyinnc2011 Never ate at a McDonalds again, no problems... Plus, when I got sick, I hadn't eaten anywhere else before for a day. I think now, looking back on it. They had soap on the grill. New crew and all, was there... I just don't want anything to do with McDonalds anymore, after that....

Wow, the last time I went through this drive-through, the Thriftko thrift store was closing down: It's now Bartell Drugs. I didn't know this McDonalds closed, too. Cool video
