@forbesiboi well there are 4 races now (3 before the expansion) and depending on the realm or server you play on, its either free for all pvp, or pve and you pvp through mini games and special zones in game where its free for all. but based on when the game was new, (i got it when it was new but quit because of my lame computer. starting up again this christmas with my new one) there was a server or 2 where it was team based pvp. team based meaning that it was race vs. race. idk if its the same.

The TON of bugs and generally messed up gameplay at launch scared me away from this game. Female chars doing less damage than males, simply because they were female? Stats not increasing your abilities in combat? I hope the game has become better since then. It almost killed FunCom.

its a case of familiarizing yourself with the combo arrows and watching the way the mob your fighting is blocking if you have a combo that goes in the north east direction for example, and the mob is blocking north east, then you'll wanna find the combo that goes north west or w/e. Well thats how i think of it anyway. That way you'll do more damage. :)

Problem I had with this game at release was I can run any other game in full high settings but my computer got buggered over by this on low settings. Reinstalled it a few months back and just lagged out in some major city on low graphics. Looks OK, but waiting for Red 5 Studios...

AoC has come a long way since launch, every MMO takes about 1 year to get to where it wanted to be at launch.

I must admit, this looks a little chaotic. Doesn't look like there's much to do but stand there and fight, are there any more interactive fights that have you jumping around and dodging things and hitting specific things and fighting adds, etc?

You know, something more in depth than a tank and spank fight.

Each add has one CC that affects it.

And you have a certain amount of time before the boss spawns, who one shots anyone on the hate-list not in melee range.

He also puts a curse on someone, which one shots if the timer hits 0, two people have to go around and debuff the curse from interacting with some object in the room.

Looks boring though, pve usually is.

there is alot of different bosses there with different skills, like someone can use other players to damage the tank which is damn annoying or other stun like hell

There are alot of tacktics... The tactick here is how the group is standing. Now adays we plan alot before doing this boss. If you walk inside this place now, you get aggro from mobs so you gotta use hide.. Always look for agents first. I love the game, and think its nice to play. new bosses comes, instances and places. always new tacktics : )

not at all anymore, there was a big revamp of the itemization of the items you get in game in update 1.05. There have been a lot of changes if you havent played since launch i would check it out again.

Healers in this game can pvp day and night. Tempest of Set and Priest of Mitha are AoE range dmg dealers, Bear Shammans and in your face melee healers, all the heals are based on range, aoe or cone of fire. Healers walk with pride on this game

They improved it alot.

They've added end-game content, PvP system and consequences etc.

They now changed the whole armor stat system to make higher level armor and quality alot better. The naked vs. epic geared is no more.

AoC have been improved alot since its release, the game wasnt that good when it first came out, and many ppl stoped playing it becouse of all the buggs and so on, but the game have really improved, and its worth giving a secound try :)

as far as I know, I stopped playing a couple of weeks ago. I'm pretty sure it still does, it is a viable strat for yaremka, just stacking GC for the slow it has and letting him chase you around the room.

lol that must get pretty boring for that sin. Usually I tend to go through most of my debuff combos as well. Still keeps me in top 3 dps, debuffs for more dmg by others and is less boring than cycling between ssx and ssix. GC3>GC2>SSX>SSIX>impede life > lethargy etc.
