  • My mum fancies Phil. My dad is the spitting image so thats probably why. I must admit, he is quite charming. xx

  • He has a resemblence to Alan Titchmarsh. No wonder my mum likes Phil & Alan.

  • what is this song called

  • if it helps "Oxfod Blue Gavotte"

  • @jameskinmond1980 its actualy "Wedgewood Blue Gavotte"

  • Been watching this lad ever since he first hit the scene; I loved it then, I love it now. Great.

  • I never heard of this organist. Thanks so much for posting! Now I can have fun hunting down his recordings!

  • If you think this is good (IMO he is fantastic!!)then try to get his double cd The Organist entertains, with Dance of the hours.

Alo try to get a listen to his version of Coronation Scott. This man has so many playing styles he is well up amongst the greatest. Get hold of as many of his early LPs and cassette tapes as you can and you won't be dissapointed. Thanks for putting his music up here James. You have done the man a great service. Regards,John.

  • Phil is up there with reginald dixon as one of the two top players ever at blackpool.....

  • mor please right now james do as i say

  • More Please.

  • I would certainly welcome the opportunity to view more video footage of Phil. I do have all his videos and CDs but nothing beats a visit to the Tower Ballroom to see and hear him play - trouble is, I live more that 100 miles away, so visits are few and far between. He is without doubt the best theatre pipe organist in the world.

  • yeah lets have more of Phil!! I'm far away in Madrid and I miss Blackpool where I used to be a Redcoat at the Metropole Hotel in the mid 80's. Tower Lounge was one of my favourite places and where I learned to dance.

  • Hi there thanks for the comment is so good of you, my partner stayed 2 yrs in Blackpool plays the theatre organ, has played the Blackpool organ and knows Phil very well. The tower ballroom is a very special place and glad to hear you have so many fond memories of it
