@ItachixLoverxForever I think Lights and some Instant Star writers wrote this song together. it was for Alexz to sing for Instant Star. But i guess Lights also sang it too.

@livinlikemusic Lights (Valerie Poxleitner back then) wrote the song with Luke McMaster. She recorded the demo (like all writers usually do) so Alexz could learn how to sing it, but due to Alexz's record label being giant A-Holes and her not being able to sing every song on the record (3rd & 4th season), they had to release Valerie Poxleitner's version. Proof: Twitter convo w/ Lights. Lol.

I love both versions, they feel like completely different songs. Alexz's feels like it's straight off the stage, because her voice always has this element of the storyteller, whilst Lights' feels like it's radio at its best.

I actually really like the combination of the two, while Lights' voice is a little overpowered, her higher notes compliment Alexz's richness really well. I'd love to hear them sing together, I imagine those harmonies would be lovely.

I love Lights and Alexz Johnson, but i think Alexz sings this song better just cus her voice suits it better, and I love lights style of music i think this is too preppy for her ;p but that;s just my opinion
