Joke all you want! I have seen a living plesiosarus-like creature in the Chesapeake Bay, near Ft. Wool (Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel) in 1985. My friend and I were fishing for flounder at the time. Unbelievable, yes! Of course it is. But, it did happen. Keep an open mind cause truth is stranger than fiction.
If the thing were jumping out of the water it would have purposeful & directional movement like a whale, shark, dolphin, etc. It looks like it was somehow just thrown above the water...DUH! If people ever think any extinct animal still survives please study the behavior of animals that DO exist & that we do understand first. "Still-life" photos will give it away every time. Don't fall for the okie-doke...I'm just sayin'...
Whale? Dolphin? It doesn't even look like a whale nor a dolphin. It doesn't look very fake to me either. The idea that creatures like that might still be living out there, is far from unbelievable to me. First I thought that it might be from some movie, but the quality of the filming doesn't really resemble filming from movies, and the fact that the camera is shaking should prove the diffrence. I don't know if I believe it to be real. However, I hope it is!
Ya, but dont forget that the images we have on the Plesiosaurus are estimated, not factual .... whos to say that they werent a little of on the tail to begin with?
Either way, it was still quite a few fins extra for a whale, and the tail STILL does not match that of a whale, shark, or anything else we are familiar with ...
I am still a firm believe in the St Agustine, Gigantic Octopus. they tried to dismiss it but all the photograph's of it only strengths the claim that it was a gigantic Octopus. at full length of around 180 feet. as well as numberous scientists what backed it up.
lol They don't exist anymore. If they did then either (1) we would know about them by now because they would come to the surface frequently enough to be seen, or (2) we will never find out if they do because they don't come to the surface often and nobody will just happen to have the camera out at the time they do. Then there's the question of why we haven't sent something down into the water to check? Robots visit other planets all the time.
@LilBlitz116 No, it´s excellent CGI animation, like all the animation included in the film. Like I said: plesiosaurs do exist, especially in CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) Dig it now? Rent it out, it´s a very entertaining film.
And finally about the video, it was made as a preview for the movie "The Water Horse" Its on the water horse website, and if you compare the characters side by side (And the fact that the video shows nothing similar to a plesiosaur) you will find that it is animated.
The best proof that intelligent life is out there that we dont know about, is because it hasnt come in contact with us. I think that's a beings smartest move.
Ah yes, don't forget the 'parrallel dimension' theory, that one works every time. Especially for those who only need a bump with an elbow to put them in one.
Hmm, as far as i know plesiosaurs had real long necks and couldnt jump like that or theyd break their neck. though it does remind me of dolichorynchops. who knows what that was, it could of just been a large seal.

Every video ive seen so far is fake, but I still believe that plesiosaur's exist, it would be ignorant of us to say that they couldnt survive, and how the hell would you know how they move until they have actually been observed? for all we know this species is very shy and could it not be intelligent? especially if they survived this long? man thought that the giant octopus didnt exist....Until they found em.
@Kazic5000 Definitely. They also thought the coelacanth, okapi, and a variety of other "Lazarus taxa." The more we explore and learn about the earth, the more new and exciting creatures we discover. Though I must say, finding a living dinosaur would be a lot more exciting than finding a "90-million-year-old" Wollemi pine.
@Kazic5000 Fossil evidence suggests that they died out, if they had survived we would have found fossils suggesting so a long time ago. We can find out the intelligence of an animal by scanning their skulls, or the fossils of their skulls, and nothing has ever been found suggesting that plesiosaurs are intelligent, odds are they wouldn't have reached this, even by our time.
@Kazic5000 The giant octopus, giant squid & coelacanth are not good comparisons. Remember that a plesiosaur is an air breathing marine reptile. They did not live in the depths of the ocean.
Also, while it is possible that they did survive, the fossil record indicates that they did not.
I would love it if they did though. what could be cooler than that? :)
@Caniswalensis Whales are air breathing and they can go to depths pretty deep and even are found in the middle of the Atlantic.I just hate it when we act like we know what they did when there is no way to know unless you studied them like you would living animals. It is possible their could be but as well these creatures could have been not seen but still exist. Also we have no idea how they hunted we make this stuff up just to sound smart. How do we know we werent there?
Well, whales do not live at great depths. They live near the surface where they can breath. Plesiosaurs would have had to do the same thing. We see wales all the time. If there were living plesiosaurs, we sould see them as well. We also have fossil evidence that shows the history of whales. We can make an estimate of how long of whales have been around. We also have a fossil record of not just plesiosaurs, but other marine reptiles that indicates they are extinct.
@Caniswalensis so we scaled every part of the ocean?I wasn't talking depths i was talking being in the middle as many larger types stay even whales exept for migration. It's still possible they survived but maybe unlikely but ypou cant print it as fact till you searched the entire seven seas.Taking the best guess isnt science and all fossils rell us is something is dead. And scientists have to study living creatures in order to know their habits everything else is speculation or BS.
@korzon Well you said depths, so I replied to it. That is a common rationalization for the existence of plesiosaurs. Whales live out in the middle of the ocean too. We see them, why don't we see plesiosaurs?
Look, I want them to be alive as much as anyone. I like to think about it and daydream about it too. Sadly, It does not make sense to believe in it when there is no objective evidence for it. That is a fact.
Someone has to prove they exist before we can say they are real.
@korzon Hey, and fossils can tell us much more tan what you describe. There is a wealth of evidence about creatures habits in some fossils. For instance, the Mesozoic marine reptiles known as ichthyosaurs are known to have given live birth because we have a fossil that clearly shows a fetus in the womb. We know they were meat eaters because of their teeth, and one sub species had teeth adapted for crushing and eating shellfish. Fascinating creatures. I wish they were still around too.
@Caniswalensis well yes teeth tell us some things as diet and the fetus observation is a good indicator. But sometimes we just go a little far on speculating what creatures eat or who were their actual predators and their favorite food or even the very disposition of the creature itself. Those things we can know nothing about because we cant attach cameras as we do today to actualy follow them in their enviroment as we do today.Observation is provable speculating or best guess isn't fact.
@Caniswalensis Just saying even when we observe living creatures there is a lot we can learn i can see it with my own eyes and observe it.I just think fossils realy dont show us all that much .And even with the live ones we observe many questions are un answered.Fossils just leave to broad and explaination of habits and i see them realy getting into speculation as to their hunting techniqes how they killed a prey and such things as that.Only way to know somebody is to get to meet them thats all.
@korzon Yes, and you'll notice that we can spot whales very easily for that exact reason. If a plesiosaur existed, it would be very easy to spot when it comes up to breath, just like a whale.
@EnigmaHood Unless there are only a handfull left and that would mean they would have to have a type of family as whales do to even survive. Not saying there are but it is still possible thats a vast ocean out there who could know for sure?We find new species in South America continualy things we diddnt know even existed in the first place so I will stick with I don't know.
@korzon That's just an argument from ignorance. It's a logical fallacy. Yes, it's possible, but it's also possible that there's an invisible alien in my pocket. That doesn't mean it's probable. Plesiosaurs still existing is improbable because they should be easy to spot when they come up for air, even if there is only a handful left.
@Kazic5000 Wow. That is some of the dumbest logic I've ever seen. "Even though we have no evidence of it, it could be true, therefore it's probably true!"
@BenkaiDebussy Yeah, that argument is called an argument from ignorance. Theists often use it to make a plea for why god exists, even though it's an illogical argument.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if some of these 'prehistoric' creatures thought to be extinct are actually still out there somewhere. However, this video is clearly fake lol, just by looking at the way it pops out of the water...
Correct, every single different type of 'mythological' being is actually real. For example dragons, fairy's,dryads, gnomes & elfs exist on another dimension, praying mantis beings & lizzardmen (all though theses are shape shifting reptilians that can take the form of any creature it likes) They are even painted on the walls of pyramid: you have 'men' with heads/bodyparts of various animals. Ancient people encountered these advanced beings and thought of them as gods. Read Chariots of the gods!!!
I have read Graham Hancocks book on superstition and he claims that consuming certain hallucinogenic substances like ayahuasca gave access to parallel dimensions. He also admitted that mainstream science is deliberately sidelining the issue for long time
@sonofthedestroyer You do realize a parallel dimension would be something as in height, width, depth, time, space, ect? Not a place. You are speaking of universes, in which case many animals which are extinct now, probably don't even exist. There is no evidence suggesting that these animals are still alive, nor will they ever be alive again. For more information on parallel universes, and other dimensions (10 for fermions and 26 for bosons) please research the string theory.
If crocs survived extinction 65 millions years ago why not plesiosaurs too.

korzon 1 year ago
@korzon
Sad, & true

@Caniswalensis so we scaled every part of the ocean?I wasn't talking depths i was talking being in the middle as many larger types stay even whales exept for migration. It's still possible they survived but maybe unlikely but ypou cant print it as fact till you searched the entire seven seas.Taking the best guess isnt science and all fossils rell us is something is dead. And scientists have to study living creatures in order to know their habits everything else is speculation or BS.
korzon 1 year ago
@korzon Well you said depths, so I replied to it. That is a common rationalization for the existence of plesiosaurs. Whales live out in the middle of the ocean too. We see them, why don't we see plesiosaurs?
Look, I want them to be alive as much as anyone. I like to think about it and daydream about it too. Sadly, It does not make sense to believe in it when there is no objective evidence for it. That is a fact.
Someone has to prove they exist before we can say they are real.
Caniswalensis 1 year ago
@korzon Hey, and fossils can tell us much more tan what you describe. There is a wealth of evidence about creatures habits in some fossils. For instance, the Mesozoic marine reptiles known as ichthyosaurs are known to have given live birth because we have a fossil that clearly shows a fetus in the womb. We know they were meat eaters because of their teeth, and one sub species had teeth adapted for crushing and eating shellfish. Fascinating creatures. I wish they were still around too.
Caniswalensis 1 year ago
@Caniswalensis well yes teeth tell us some things as diet and the fetus observation is a good indicator. But sometimes we just go a little far on speculating what creatures eat or who were their actual predators and their favorite food or even the very disposition of the creature itself. Those things we can know nothing about because we cant attach cameras as we do today to actualy follow them in their enviroment as we do today.Observation is provable speculating or best guess isn't fact.
korzon 1 year ago
@Caniswalensis Just saying even when we observe living creatures there is a lot we can learn i can see it with my own eyes and observe it.I just think fossils realy dont show us all that much .And even with the live ones we observe many questions are un answered.Fossils just leave to broad and explaination of habits and i see them realy getting into speculation as to their hunting techniqes how they killed a prey and such things as that.Only way to know somebody is to get to meet them thats all.
korzon 1 year ago
@korzon Yes, and you'll notice that we can spot whales very easily for that exact reason. If a plesiosaur existed, it would be very easy to spot when it comes up to breath, just like a whale.
EnigmaHood 1 year ago
@EnigmaHood Unless there are only a handfull left and that would mean they would have to have a type of family as whales do to even survive. Not saying there are but it is still possible thats a vast ocean out there who could know for sure?We find new species in South America continualy things we diddnt know even existed in the first place so I will stick with I don't know.
korzon 1 year ago
@korzon That's just an argument from ignorance. It's a logical fallacy. Yes, it's possible, but it's also possible that there's an invisible alien in my pocket. That doesn't mean it's probable. Plesiosaurs still existing is improbable because they should be easy to spot when they come up for air, even if there is only a handful left.
EnigmaHood 1 year ago
@Kazic5000 Wow. That is some of the dumbest logic I've ever seen. "Even though we have no evidence of it, it could be true, therefore it's probably true!"
BenkaiDebussy 1 year ago
@BenkaiDebussy Yeah, that argument is called an argument from ignorance. Theists often use it to make a plea for why god exists, even though it's an illogical argument.

plesiosaurus could not move fast enough to jump out of the water like that

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if some of these 'prehistoric' creatures thought to be extinct are actually still out there somewhere. However, this video is clearly fake lol, just by looking at the way it pops out of the water...

Many of the so called exinct animals still exist. Some in parallel dimensions
sonofthedestroyer 2 years ago 19
Correct, every single different type of 'mythological' being is actually real. For example dragons, fairy's,dryads, gnomes & elfs exist on another dimension, praying mantis beings & lizzardmen (all though theses are shape shifting reptilians that can take the form of any creature it likes) They are even painted on the walls of pyramid: you have 'men' with heads/bodyparts of various animals. Ancient people encountered these advanced beings and thought of them as gods. Read Chariots of the gods!!!
DjHyphie 2 years ago
I have not read that but thanks.
I have read Graham Hancocks book on superstition and he claims that consuming certain hallucinogenic substances like ayahuasca gave access to parallel dimensions. He also admitted that mainstream science is deliberately sidelining the issue for long time
sonofthedestroyer 2 years ago
@sonofthedestroyer You do realize a parallel dimension would be something as in height, width, depth, time, space, ect? Not a place. You are speaking of universes, in which case many animals which are extinct now, probably don't even exist. There is no evidence suggesting that these animals are still alive, nor will they ever be alive again. For more information on parallel universes, and other dimensions (10 for fermions and 26 for bosons) please research the string theory.
