@Belhammel Not for SA. SA built this equipment themselves. Has one of the most professional services in the world with a lot of it's training based on sucsessful operations and the long legacy of Britain. Such as the navy which goes along similar traditions. It's air force is structured in the same way and it's ground forces mandate has prooven to be the appropriate one for SA in dealing with communist threats from Angola for example. Not to mention plenty of sucsessful peace missions

the south african army were one of the best in the days about 1960 -1990 because we had the best equiptment for ex. look at the r4 assault rifle, it could be used in any enviroment and was quite powerful
