think it's drop D tuning

i don't think it's drop D/ all the power chords are played regularly, which means it's standard tuning, or all half step down.

No, it is played in drop D tuning. Not all the power chords hes playing are in the normal shape, but it is a power chord. Barring a single fret on the strings G B E, which is drop tuned to D creates a power chord. Plus, the the first note on riff at the beginning is an open D. I think. Well, at least that's how I play it.
