  • war...war never changes

  • Most. Epic. Game. Ever.

  • 1:30 oh sweet only 200 bucks, oh

  • If a US vs China war happens in real life, this game will be a very big funny aneurysm moment.

  • @MaverickHunterX3 A dark satire of progressive humanity within a ragged travesty of progressive humanity.

THAT'S the kind of humor the Black Isle guys had, and I've yet to see the Bethesda guys hold a candle to it.

  • Anyone know where I can get the music that plays during the "War never changes" speech?

  • @whyareall2

    @whyareall2

fallout soundtrack, track 7, vats of goo.

you can get it on you tube, but to download it you have to buy itthe entire vault archivesw soundtrack. or you could change the you tube video of the song into an mp3 file by using a mp3 converter.

I'm not sure where the offical site for the download is, but I'm pretty sure the vault wiki will give you more info on the soundtrack

  • best intro ever

  • @popamon451 Lol, even in game: "no, not possible to US be sooooo bad... nooo!" or just a troll :P

  • Glad to see they actually tried to keep 3 and (in parts) NV in the same cutscene styles.

  • 1:38 War, war never changes. Or does it? The war has changed. Did it? The answer is no. Unless it it yes. No, of course it is, is war. Yes. No. Yes?

  • I'm juste here for the song :) and for this legnde of videogame.....

  • who wants a remake of fallout 1 and fallout 2 thumb up

  • @Leooniidass If we're talking first person and all that, count me out. I could get behind a modern isometric 3D remake. More voice acting, cleaner graphics, and bug fixes would be lovely, no one's going to do that. A Bethesda-style remake would be sacrilege.

  • lol thats the 1000 ways to die announcer

  • Everyone it's not two canadian soldier's executing a chinese Pow it's two american soldier's because it says dedicated to "are boy's" not canada's boy's

  • Fallout is such a fun game in and of itself, but even if it doesn't entertain you, it's still a very respectable game, especially when you consider how unique it is.

  • for gods sake they are killing a fucking Canadian freedom fighter since when did Canadian soldiers wear power armor

  • @robertryan333 it's american soldiers that moved into cannada to defend america against china

  • @peerse1 no its a canadian killing a chinese soldier for the americans since they annex

  • @popamon451 How do you know that its a Canadian soldier excuting a Chinese POW?

  • @popamon451 well they say's that "our dedicated boy's keep the peace in newly annexed cannada

  • @robertryan333 If that is the case the americans are the bad guys cool! So im guessing the americans lost the is that right?

  • @popamon451 they did successfully annex Canada , and any protestors were shot on sight

  • @robertryan333 so it did not go that bad for canada when the time comes i will not protest XD

  • @popamon451 Dude. Nuclear winter. For the world. EVERYONE LOST.

  • I hope bethesda one day make a fallout game in europe or the frontier between california and mexico in baja california or sonora.

  • @Galvorn11 Fallout 1&2 took place between California and Mexico.

  • armor* which* Long* exacuted*

  • Ok your confussed, U.S wanted to protect its oil line in alaska, and so the moved alot of there army there, then Canada got nerves and people started rioting and protesting, so America annexed Canada, the man the exacute is a Canadian protester, The Chinise invades Alasker and fights the U.S beats China, China is then invaded and after a ong war the U.S sends in the power armer troopers witch criples Chinas army. oh and triva, 1 gallon of gas cost around $1400 at this time

  • 0:30 yes! Finally a game that gives respect to the canadian army showing how they can take care of enemy soldiers thank you creators! ya in this game canada and usa form together in peace!

  • @popamon451 Um, that shows an American soldier executed someone in Canada. In the Fallout universe, America annexed Canada as in making the Canada apart of the US.

  • @OhLookaFanboy No its a Canadian executeding a chinese soldier for the U.S

  • @popamon451 Ohh, I was just bit confused. :p

  • @OhLookaFanboy its O.K the U.S and Canada formed together to help fight the Chinese and Canada helped fight and give supplies to the U.S

  • @popamon451 OHHHHH, I thought the U.S. invaded Canada and took over for extra power and such. It makes so much more sense that the US and Canada formed together.

  • @OhLookaFanboy Nope they did not invade

  • @popamon451 The US President was even impeached for that.

  • @popamon451 Agreed!

  • @popamon451 Actually the developters said that the US forced Canada to join and their were mass riots, geurrilla wars and large deathtoll, the man was a captured Canadian Partisan

  • @mrfunnyperson100 what that makes no sence I have to agree with popamon on this one

  • @ILoveRofles Check the Official Timeline on the Fallout Wiki, its true. Hell the Senate even speciafiaclly said that the impeachment (jaywalking) had "Nothing, whatsoever, to do with the recent annexatein of Canada".

  • @mrfunnyperson100 For all we know it could be made up by fans oh well believe what you want to believe theres nothing wrong with that i dont want to fight over something so stupid ok!!

  • @popamon451 The info I said was found in the first two games themselves, the actual games, it was definitevly not made up by fans.

  • @mrfunnyperson100 Ya lets not fight i will believe what I want to believe and you believe what you want to believe ok!

  • @ILoveRofles "vArrowtotheknee" has it right; America annexed Canada to protect its oil interests from a desperate China (oil was literally selling for gold bouillons by this time). While Canada's government enjoyed access to American oil at reduced prices, its citizens probably weren't as happy as the whole affair as the TV states.

If you doubt me, why not install Fallout 2, run your ass ALL the way over to the Sierra army depot, and read from the secret military data chips?

    Or just wiki it.

  • @popamon451 THEY DO NOT FORM TOGETHER IN PEACE

  • @popamon451 I do not think the word "annex" means what you think it means.

  • @bowiehero Annex means 2 two thing joing as one

  • @popamon451 There are two things: peaceful annexation and nor peaceful. As we can see, this annexation was not peacefull.

  • @popamon451 They annexed Canada the same way the Nazis annexed France, by the time the USA annexed Canada they were using powered armored troops to quell widespread and violent riots, I doubt Canada would say "thank you america fpr taking away our long held independence and absorbing us into your crumbling and chaotic order" In FO2 theres old news saying that the president was impeached for the annexation, and the description for combat armor says that a canadian partisan had one.

  • @popamon451 Not everyone wants an annexation, especially if it means being bossed around by the annexing country.

  • @popamon451 an annexation is not exactly peaceful :P

  • @popamon451 No dude those are canadian freedom fighter's getting owned by american power armor troop's USA USA USA

  • @popamon451 Those are Americans. Canada was annexed during the Resource Wars by the USA. Thats a Canadian Partisan being executed.

  • Dear Bethesda,

Can I haz Fallout 1 and 2 remake?

  • Solid snake cloned himslef 88 times and disliked this video cuz he said war changed

  • the entire city got nuked and STILL there's a tv that's still on and working like normal

  • Im sorry Skyrim and the rest of the elders scrolls but I love the Fallout series

  • the fallout universe is my favorite RPG universe, hands down. it'ts so damn interesting and awesome.

  • This is kinda prophetic, the euro facing collapse, war for oil, nuclear proliferation, china building up its military, tension between USA and Iran.

  • @evild0esN0tsleep dont forget north korea

  • @evild0esN0tsleep Nah, the Eurozone may be on the brink but I don't think the EU would fall with it. China won't matter in another 20 years, and Iran never really mattered (aside from it's oil). The stuff highlighted today as being major dangers are pretty minuscule in the grand scheme of things, including this Great Recession of ours.

  • alot of the images of pre-war fallout world look like they are from the 50's including the houses as well

  • @ziggyzap1 Its because the came takes place in a 1950s satire, or the Future of Tommorrow were technology advanced at a rapid rate but the culture stayed in a 1950s cultural satire

  • When i launched this game, it was like a shock. This is probably the most genious and providing game. Shows that people would start Great War because of money. It is 14 years old, but there will not be better game. FO1 and FO2 have, eg.: scientology parody, USA wars view, final dark character that is not eactly only bad, funny dialogs, AI theory... And much, much more :)

  • @Zowi121 it didn't really have anything to do with money. In 2052 the resource wars started which ended in 2077 with the great war.

  • @robertryan333 Good because that would be gay XD

  • @OneOntoOne lol

  • I dont like this

  • @OneOntoOne i don't like you

  • I used to be an Westlander like you, then I took a railway spike in the knee.

Fallout ever will have the most incredible universe I ever seen. I always loved retro-futurists worlds and when I saw the Fallout Series mix this with a post-apocalyptic history... man, Fallout is a world better than the our.

Sorry if I madesome errors of agreement, I do not speak english so well.

  • fallout 1 on sale hella cheap ww.ebay.com/itm/250957876612?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_1117

  • I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas wasn't too shabby either so I decided maybe it was about time I checked out the original and for 3 dollars it wasn't a bad idea. Wasn't a bad idea at all.

  • War.

    War never changes...

    War!

    Never been so much fun

    War!

    Never been so much fun

  • Better than FO2 in my opinion :)

  • @tontsa911 In my opinion too.

  • Fallout Online is waiting for u to explore its harsh wastes. Google Fonline 2238, join us and and help us grow community. Only strongest will survive.

  • i like how this could hovve happened

  • None of the Fallout games have recreated the emotional turmoil this intro causes me, though Fallout 3 wasn't too far off, but it was more than a little too ham-fisted.

  • thumbs up if you watch this and Fallout new vegas is already out!

  • @78mrm0nky I watched it ten years ago on my computer screen and I watch it again and also actually play it again, I do not thumb up because I will maybe play it after 10 years again, because this game is legend ^_^

  • best game ever made

  • its amazing how one little equasion can cause that much shit

  • Fallout reminds me of the future I want to avoid.

  • Would like to see if they could imagine if it would be possible to rebuild the Fall-Out Univers and re-construct Civilisation....

  • why are all the tv in black and white when they got robots and leaser guns

  • @royboyrp3 I only thumbs that up so other people can see how stupid what u just said was

  • I remember playing this game when i was young, and to this day, every time i hear that man saying "War, war never changes" I get goosebumps.

  • Fallout kinda does predict the future a bit.

We will run out of coal some day, so we will be fighting over it, maybe nuking over it.

It's how greedy and fucked up our world is today.

  • muy buenos juegos convinaron lo clasico con el futuro =D

  • Fallout 3 is a good game, but this is the real Fallout-(I mean, F1 and F2). I think the F3 lacks the spirit of good old Fallout ...

So, this is REAL FALLOUT !

  • @StrelkaCZ New Vegas feels more like Fallout than F3.

  • @StrelkaCZ True but I do think fallout 3 managed well to keep similarities with 1 & 2. NV felt separate from all of them. :(

  • @StrelkaCZ Real Fallout is the best one... it's the one I bought with LEVEL magazine years ago ^_^

  • The adventure that started it all........

  • War, War never changes

  • Cod, cod never changes.

  • @XxXGAMESTERxKCXxX This is a Fallout 1 intro video. Stop mentioning Call of Duty!

  • Somebody should have asked Morgan Freeman say the words "War... War never changes." Just a hint. With Freeman this game would have been IT! If some one agrees please thumb up.

  • @paahtopaisti I disagree, Ron Pearlman's tired, rather cynical tone makes it what it is. Morgan Freeman, while good, isn't suited for this.

  • My favorite of all the intros/trailers

  • The new corvega, full analog system, no computers, 800+ horsepower. That sounds like my kinda car. Why does our universe have to suck soo much?

  • You should listen to "Fallout - The Tribute". It's on YT with pictures. And it's amazing :O Must watch!

  • It kinda feels like we are nearing the great war in this world TBH. Peak oil, Iran and the west relations crumble, economic struggle for the US and Europe, Islamic fundamentatlism is growing, China is getting richer by the minute and are buying up western companies at a fast pace.

  • @Salaisor China invading Alaska, the EU falling apart, and America annexing Canada. I see all of that happening in the next half-century. With any luck I'll die at the ripe old age of 25 before watching this world plunge into a World War that will make Hitler's actions look like a child bullying others in the playground. =/

  • @yrabeiro haha word.

  • Guys, i have to say one thing... If someone could make a film based on Fallout 1/2... Holy shit, it can be so incredibly AWESOME! We just need a good director, who really knows what this game about. Just imagine: fallout world on a huge screen with visual effects that we have nowadays. What do we have now? Lord of the rings? Harry Potter? Oh man, thats not serious... And one more thing i like about fallout: sooner or later it really will occur... Its a prophetical game. Not a tale for children

  • @TheOriginal626 - The director is only half of the requirements needed to make a substantial movie based upon the fallout-verse. The writer is the other half, someone who knows the games, understands the mechanics behind a simple plot which can be twisted and turned into something iconic.

I'm the writer, I have the story, I have a 155 page screenplay (2hrs35mins) for an adaptation in the works right now, it's just a matter of time until you see what you desire on the big silver screen.

  • @cybersunday07 cool man! good luck in your work! and yes of course, not only director is needed for this, i was just running out of symbols and its just a part of my thoughts about it :)

  • @TheOriginal626 - The only director I think (going on terms of design) that could direct my adaptation would be Peter Jackson. My adaptation is similar to the game, takes place in the Capitol Wasteland and follows a vault 13 survivor as he treks through the dangerous wasteland.

I've worked out the plan, you'll see Gecko's, Deathclaws, Rascorpions (1st), Ghouls, Glowing Ones, Mutants, Super Mutants, Enclave, Brotherhood of Steel, Radroaches and pretty much anything else I can throw in.

  • How the hell is that TV still working?

  • What is the song name?

  • @LucasCamargosRamos maybe: the ink spots

  • @LucasCamargosRamos Maybe - The Ink Spots

  • I was talking about the guy getting shot in the street at 0:31

  • fwiw, i am pretty sure the execution in the street was a comparison to nguyen van troi(he was a vietcong assassin trying to assassinate robert mcnamara while he was in vietnam.) Caught, and executed publicly with no trial. He said before being executed that the usa is the real transgressors, he had committed no sin and wanted no absolution. blah. fallout really is a bleak game.

  • Never realized that it was Ron Pearlman. Ron Pearlman rocks. :-)

  • 2 hours did the war last. gee, they could at least have launched 1 nuke a time and not all at once.

  • only me who want to live in the fallout universe

  • @mrlamaism I would love it.

  • @mrlamaism and end up becoming a slave or being turned into a mutant? hell to the no dude lol!

  • @mrlamaism Ur not alone. I will join you first chance i gett. Wish it was real.

  • @mrlamaism

wait until WW3 , when the relation of USA and Russia go to hell , and all gonna to have a nuclear winter

  • @mrlamaism Iran is ready. Chinese are ready as well. Russia cleans their warheads from dust. Arab Spring and Euro collapse. Well...

    Fukushima is just a beginning.

    Global meltdown.

Duke Nukem and Chuck Norris are ready for a portion of mushroom clouds.

  • @mrlamaism You, 132 other people, and me my friend.

  • @mrlamaism hell no! i like the plumbing and the internet too much. plus the whole bullet and no clean water thing is a real bummer.

  • @mrlamaism I just wish i could live in a Bethesda universe!!!

  • @mrlamaism Um, no I would not want to live in a world that is literally hell. I like indoor heating, AC, plumbing, clean water, no radiation, no super mutants or other irradiated monsters or lingering radiation everywhere.

  • Fallout 3 and New Vegas are good and all...

but they wouldn't have existed without this.

  • its like in the movie thatres previews looks good but most suck when they come out. this game is only impressive if you didnt play fo2 and loved GTA series. been there done that.

  • What I love about the Fallout world (or indeed any post-apocalyptic story) is the kind of freedom it gives you.

In a world where the nations and societies we know are gone, a character is freed from the kinds of restrictions and moral codes that would have held them back before the end of the world.

Reshaping the world as you see fit, for good or ill, is done far better in a place where the slate has been wiped clean.

True, I tends to stay moral in these games but the point remains.

  • @TheJboy88 Well personally, i think if we remove the mutant brain thing commanding a huge mutant army, and goddamn government forces come to dominate us again. Then yeah, perfect world in a way.

  • @TheJboy88 Too me its the 40s-50s retro feel. I love it.

  • @TheJboy88 I agree. I can't really get very deep into a fantasy game because magic just doesn't capture my imagination. I enjoy space operas and games with modern settings such as Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, or Deus Ex, but their worlds have governments, restricting gameplay.

Fallout gives us the best of modern and science fiction in a world without any restraints. It gives us a world that feels very real because it is our own but allows us to do things we never could in ours.

  • @ferhordlingrads Agree With Ya, but as space opera i prefere books.

Look for writers like Jack McDevit, Resnick, Isac Asimov, Hamilton, Dan Simmons...but only one fantasy world that i can get deep in is TES Series.

  • @nokt1 Asimov is the man. Whenever I play a space empire game such as Master of Orion, I make sure to name a planet or star system for him.

  • @ferhordlingrads Indeed, One of th best SF writers i had pleasure to read, love his books about Robots and Galactic Imperium, about Fundation i read only few. Agreed Again Asimov is the man, it was an honor to have him in this gray world.

  • @ferhordlingrads about 4X games...do You know any new game like Master of Orion or Galactic Empire?

  • @nokt1 Well, I've only played Master of Orion, but I hear Galactic Civilizations II is supposed to be good. It's from 2007, I think, but I get the impression it's regarded as the best Master of Orion remake.

  • @TheJboy88 I wish we could live in this world together... oh look, i hacked some top secret launch codes from a federal data base >:3

  • @TheJboy88 what I love about this game is simply the contrast between the themes of the golden age of the 1950s with the nihilistic despair of a nuclear holocaust

  • @TheJboy88 I believe that in a post apocalyptic world would be at least less tedious ... such as in the movie Mad Max to be a knight of the road literally fighting for survival would be much more visceral than fill paperwork reports within an office with a tie tied around his neck ...

  • @ignaciojork If you ever watched the movie "The Road" you would know a post-apocalyptic world wouldn't be shit and giggles.

  • @ignaciojork I like wearing a tie lol

  • What is that Avalon or Avon Resident Evi Promo?

  • They did it! They blew up Bakersfield! You bastards!

  • poor canada lol

  • One of the best intros of all time.

  • I want a Fallout: New York. So many landmarks

  • @D3VON1ACKEY

Well, the nuke would probably destroy all the tall buildings so there wouldn't be much left to explore. But with the help of video game logic it would be really fun!

  • @newyoikmabsta would be crazy if the empire state building or the statue of liberty turned into a bastion for legions of slavers or some mutant cult like the Children of the Cathedral from Fallout 1 or the Atom cult from Fallout 3.

  • @CorRomeister

I would definitely take that over San Francisco.

  • @D3VON1ACKEY

Oh hell no, the downtown sprawl of Fallout 3's DC has turned me off to the idea of any sort of super urban Fallout experience. Fucking death maze man, the hell with that.

  • I want some power armor.

  • why dont thew americans just move to an other country?

  • I wish next Fallout is somewhere ELSE - not US.

Hell i'll take China even with fake accents and weird english.

  • @cr4yv3n This is p much showing the equality of the war, from coast to coast. Fallout; California, you found NCR a bit. Fallout 2; I think that's like Montana fuck if I know what happens other than killing enclave. Fallout 3; Remnants of the Enclave, you take care of. Killing majority of them, BoS is looked upon once more. Fallout; New Vegas, that's no difference than how it is today. Prostitution, the mob with a club there, a talking head on a computer, and also a dog with a glass brain. 07 Rex

  • @Johnfreemantalks ok maybe i am too drunk right now, but i don't get at all how your comment relates to mine O.o

  • @cr4yv3n It can't be anywhere else because the whole world is destroyed apart from the US because of the vaults.

  • This is exactly like a twilight zone beginning, lol!

  • haha cool , its the first time i see that kid moving :D

  • For fuck sakes, why the hell are we getting fucked over all the time, I mean, this country is free, so is America! ( Except their health care. )

  • if only i had Ron Perlman's voice
