they are completely different. There is no comparison. It's like comparing Touring cars to Banger racing and asking which is more manly. Whereas if I where to compare indie car to NASCAR there would be a comparison, indie are fucking ballsy doing that in basically an exaggerated go kart.

@JagermeisterDetox WRC is more raw for me. WRC car is made of serious steel and even hitting the tree won't stop him. Two F1 cars touching each other and the race is over for them. There is tarmac only in F1. In Monte Carlo Rally - the same SS can have tarmac, gravel and snow! F1 car can't go off road because it is instantly stopped and can't go any further. Go off-road with a WRC car, do a barrel roll even - people would put the car on wheels and you can continue rallying ;-)

@kroogee just to put this into perspective, that "touch" will snap steal or carbon fiber rods that hold the wheels on... The F1 cars go at some serious pace. From 0 to 100 to 0 in five seconds. they can get to around 204mph. these aren't touches, that's on all accounts a horrifying impact. I think it's ballsy to go at paces where any contact with anything will destroy the car.

F1 cars are extremely well engineered. what's ruined it, is that health and safety LIMITED their performance.

@kroogee if Rally still had Group B going, I would have given you all the chips. Group B is the peak of insane. They where race track spec cars on country roads, so fast the drivers eyes didn't have time to focus between corners.

but no, I look at WRC, then I look at F1 in Monaco and Autodromo and I have top contest that they are just as mental as eachother. but the problem with F1 is that H&S won't leave it alone.
