  • So glad I was born before (which was 1970) the first movie came out. The special effects were revolutionary for 1982. Can they ride the Light-Cycles without the trailing light behind the bike?

  • 待ってましたー♪

    最高です^^ノシ

  • didnt even know this was happening wow

  • I hope they don't screw it up ...

  • Finally!!!!!!!!!!

  • I dont know if TRIPS are as good now as they were when i took one and saw the first TRON movie when it was released at cinemas. Man ,i'll never forget that experience!!!!

  • They peed on my rug!!

  • Man so do you for making that comment about one of my fave SciFi movies.

  • and i'm a 100% sure you are going to make something better, sorry what's that you do, you work at McDonald's?

  • Man... I hope Hollywood did not screw up this new movie...

  • I hope that as well.

  • H E LL Yes

  • I think Tron 2 will be SUPER AWESOME and interesting as it looks like Jeff Brigdes or "Flynn's" is now the new face of The MCP (Master Control Program) and witnessed in the end of the trailer "the system" breaking free from it's programming due to it's own agenda. Sort of like Agent Smith or the Oracle in The Matrix being free from the Matrix itself.

  • Yes... Bruce Boxleitner is TRON right? Jeff Bridges is Flynn. After the first movie I would like to think that TRON/FLYNN made the system free again.. (its OPEN SOURCE lol :p ) So that Tron is the face of the MCP now making sure the system stays a free system again. I have high hopes for this new movie being that I grew up watching TRON 1982. I hope they do it well :)

  • So for all you negative people talking crap about Tron 2 I say you are NOT a Tron fan and so if you don't like Chinese food don't go into a Chinese restaurant.

  • erm just because people have a negative opinion about a film doens't make them any less of a fan of tron. You don't have to like a sequel if your a fan of the original you know

  • Obviously if you don't like the Tron 2 trailer then you are not a die hard Tron fan and must not have been alive when "Tron" hit the theaters in the early 80's. Personally I was alive and saw it and was the BEST movie during it's era - years ahead of it's time. Tron inspired many of the hit movies out today (where do you think The Matrix came from - same basic principle storyline).

  • i must say i am so far disapointed with this, i loved tron because it was so digital, geometry of places (like the light cylce grid) was perpenicular, light cycles could only move in 90 degree rotations, there was no jumps, or third dimension aspect.

and in a way its pathetic polygone count :) all made it seem very digitial. this seems more fuild, more real. thats not tron.

  • you have to realize though the old tron was supposed to portray the world within computers back then in the early eighties, this portrays computers of today. Of course its going to be different, the world has moved on as they say.

  • Not really, when you look at in on a low level, not really, the main thing is light cylce grids and whatnot, would be MUCH much larger.

and more programs cold be active at once

and eather way both trons haev / will be a poor interpertation of how a computer is.

  • Its the Dude from the Big lebowski

  • I hope they zap that orange again

  • I bet Tron Guy is shitting his Lycra pants with anticipation.

  • I believe the music should be by wendy carlos as well, that would be amazing, the special things about the origina movie was the soundtrack.

  • the soundtrack has a similar feel to the mass effect OST

  • I believe i just drooled.. O__O

I saw the first tron when i was 7 years old and well this is just going to blow my mind,

    BRING ON 2010 !!!!

  • I love Tron and all, and G.I. Joe, and Transformers, but is anyone else tired of every aspect of the 80's being remade? Can somebody explain why my generation seems to be so unoriginal?

  • Agreed with you there. I believe my favorite piece of 80's cinema Ghostbusters is due a revamp within the next few years. Will probably be ruined.

  • People play safe, is a business.

Actually with Tron thing may be a bit different because there was an actual cult behind it. The rest were cartoons. Things like The Matrix were a big risk, specially finding investors for a story you do not know if is going to succed. There are several movies that have been a failure.

  • The difference here is this one looks like it's not going to suck.

  • I agree with you. Exploited should be the word. THe truth is is that its all corporate decisions. If a movie is made for 50Mil because of statictice that they think will make the movie money. The truth is, that even if a film totally SUCKS at 70mil return it still made money and thats all they care about . Not originality or stuff that we are looking for. Please "PRAY" that AKIRA wont suck :(

  • I'm such a nerd, I'm a girl who likes iCarly and saturday morning cartoons and clothes from rainbow I shouldn't be so into this. But dang it's gonna be hot.

  • This should be very interesting. ^_^

  • I like the fact they brought back Jeff Bridges for this; The original was sick for it's time. Very excited!

  • unscrew my balls! this looks bloody brilliant. Can't wait to smoke my brain into oblivion and go to see this at the cinema. I'm very excited!

  • oh my sh*t

  • jesus, this looks amazing. glad too see they done away with the horrific music from the first one too. cant wait for this.

  • You're a special kind of boneheaded philistine if you didn't like the music by the brilliant Wendy Carlos. Not only is Tron's theme one of the world's most recognized, but it perfectly set the tone for the original film. I swear, you should have to pass some kind of I.Q. test before you're allowed to post comments online.

  • are you fucking mental? you must a peado?!?! how could you like that shitty music from the first?? you need to keep up with the times and stop living in the past. lol that is response i least expected. even the most sad people admit that the orignal was diabolical

  • i had 2 have watched this a million times when i was little i cant wait!

  • idk the actual story behind this, but I like the graphics, and it doesn't look that bad :)

  • Remember the old programs chained up inside the walls of the MCP? Maybe CLU was sent there. They never really say exactly what happened to him. Also there was a different special effect when someone derezzed. When RAM was derezzed it looked different. Anyways it wouldn't be difficult to come up with some way CLU survived. The villian in the clip is CLU's yellow, and looks like Flynn did at the exact age he wrote CLU.

  • CLU was derezed

  • my god i think i just had a nerdgasm

  • It looks more Mac than Windows...

  • Looks like I place I wouldn't mind visiting whilst on a reefer.

  • amen

  • what do you mean sex ever again u havnt had it in the first place

  • thats funny considering I HAVE 2 KIDS

  • whose?

  • it sorta lost the Bike racing touch, all they could do in the 1982 film was do Very Rough turns

  • This film looks like it kicks fucking ass.

  • Of course... turning in circles would be too much processor demanding and the computer back then were barely 8 bit. But those turns were great.

  • Wow. Looks awesome! But does Flynn play the bad guy now? The trailer seems to imply that.

  • i hope not :(

  • Nope. The bad guy is most likely CLU, the program Flynn was using at the beginning to hack into the computer. PQwKV7lCzEI to see him.

  • no, if you are talking about that greenish yellowish guy that's Clu, flynns old program he tried using to get evidence against ENCOM for stealing his ideas. Clu got killed off in the first movie and somehow he came back and turned bad, as for flynn he lives in the computer world for years while his son accidently gets in looking for him

  • Film is already shot and in post production. Jeff Bridges was the guy in the window.

    Movie looks tight.

  • awesome video. bout time a clear version came out
