the Audi A3 TDI gets 42mpg, even if diesel is more expensive than gas, its not bad and it's a cleaner fuel.

This is the first year Audi is offering diesel for the US market. Only VW and Mercedes have offered TDI in the past.

If diesel is such a good idea, then why is it so expensive? More importantly, why are there no diesel pumps for every filling station? I love diesel cars, but it doesn't make sense to suggest a car unless you have a means to refuel, eh?

Why doesn't use americans Diesel engines? In Europe many people drive diesel..

In Europe Diesel is not new news but in the States it is. Why? Well the US has stricter standards on car emissions than almost any other country. So only recently has diesel become a viable option for a car or suv (large trucks, Semi-trucks, tractors...have run on diesel for a very long time).

Even now we can only get diesel on a few German vehicles and they get much betting gas millage. But it's going to take a while for the market to adapt...we need more manufactures to bring on diesel cars.

well,the cost of make disel is less than making gas, and disel cars they save more energy mean while more powerful than traditional cars. anyways good commercial.
