  • What happen when the ballon is deflated over time ? Won't your wall start to collapse casue there will be no support?

  • Interesting video, can I email this to a buddy?

  • So what happens when you et dunk and try and RAM holes through your walls with your friends? Anybody body got 5"8' tall balloons?

  • When it comes to patching holes in wallboard, there are many methods that will work. This is one that I happen to like because it requires no screw holes and is quick and easy ... assuming you have a balloon. One thing I do strongly recommend, though, is the use of some kind of back support for the patch. Otherwise, it simply won't be very strong.

  • That balloon will now live in the walls forever..lol

A whole this size looks like it could have just been patched.

  • A balloon??? Whats wrong with screwing a stick behind the drywall? What are you doing with balloons in your toolbox? Are you a part time clown? Could you make my kid a balloon giraffe? How bout a balloon cat?

  • I want the harmonica tune at the beginning as my text message signal!

  • The balloon applies temporary pressure to the patch until the glue dries (about a half hour). After that the balloon is not needed. If the balloon pops as the backer strip is being inserted into the hole, just blow up another one and try again.

  • @ronhazelton You can do the same, but drill a hole in the centre of the backer strip, put a string through the hole, and pull the string towards yourself. after that, anchor the string to a chair or doorhandle, etc etc, then putty over it. when your finished, cut the string. your method is great though, keep up the good work :)

  • @mistaamistaa but then what am i going to do with my balloon?

  • i need help patching up a hole in my room wall its like 10x bigger than that hole what should i do?

  • lol yeah xD Same problem...

  • tecniclly you put a backing scews, and then the patch..

  • you dont need the glue. just screw it in using screws from the outside. doh!

  • @mozkill thats a stupid ass method. you should drill a hole in the centre of the backer strip, put a string through the hole, and pull the string towards yourself. after that, anchor the string to a chair or doorhandle. putty over it, and tada, your done!! none of that screwing or anything like that

  • that is so smart!

  • this is so clever

  • Innovation at its best
