  • The cross wasn't used as a Christian symbol until the third century AD. Up until then, the symbol was a fish. In any case, Jesus was a Jew, born and died one, thirty years before Pauline Christianity was invented. Why would there be a cross in "his" shroud?

  • i see jesus in service to god on this shroud he is holding the light of the world with candlesticks

  • Very interesting that you've found a cross in the shroud. That would tie in with the initial dating of 1200 to 1300 AD since the cross wasn't used by Christians as a symbol until the fourth century and prevous to that it was the sign of a fish. Sounds like the shroud is a fake after all.

  • Too bad the shroud was a proven fake.

    Enjoy your pareidolia.

  • ok, the audio here is riddiculous! turn up the VIOLUME please, and speak CLEARLY!

  • speak up nigga!

  • Free777Thinker: The shroud of Turin is FAKE. A bishop in the middle ages declared that the painter who made it, confessed it to him. Unfortunately he did not mention the name of the artist,

  • That argument has been disputed over and over. Scientists looked into his claim heavily, and found no evidence to support what he said. If you agree with him, you are siding with a mere statement, as opposed to dozens of scientific (religious beliefs aside) accuracies.

When I see even non-believing scientists begin to suspect a good chance of authenticity, something is definitely interesting about the shroud.

Either way, true faith is not affected by the truth of the image.

  • bubba85715 There many artifacts in the christian world, supposedly relics from Christ. In my country, they even have blood from Christ. It`s all in the eye of the beholder.

  • That is true. However, the shroud still remains one of the most, if not the most, interesting artifact to date. How does anyone explain this cloth? It wasn't painted, it's not burned in, it's not caused by radiation.... how in the world was it made? Not to mention, the image is a negative... no one even knew what a negative was back then!

  • The turin shroud is a enigma that connot be explained by science. It was only when photography was invented did they discover the face was actually on the shroud. Yu will not find a more amazing object on this earth, it is one of a kind and cannot be replicated or explained

  • At 0:18 bottom of the left side i see a X and 0, it look like someone was playing tick tack toe. and at 1:27 just little above the middle I see DARTH VADER HELMET.

  • @mahender6969 That goes to show that one can find anything one wants if one looks hard enough, i.e. The face of Jesus on a piece of toast.

  • Catholic Encyclopedia : A certain difficulty was caused by the existence elsewhere of other Shrouds similarly impressed with the figure of Jesus Christ and some of these cloths, notably those of Besançon, Cadouin, Champiègne, Xabregas, etc.,

    Do they have "crosses" too?

  • Interesting - since the cross wasn't used by Christians until at least the third century. Previous to that it was a fish.

  • persecution made it hard man

  • @russellstall - The persecution aspect has been highly overplayed . They were considered to be an illegal cult until Constantine made them legal, and as soon as Christianity became the state religion under Theodosius, they began to persecute other religions. Up to that time Rome was fairly tolerant of other religions and generally added any new religion to all the others, simply absorbing them.

  • john claims that jesus gave him to his mother, jesus said 'those of your own family will become your enemies'. jesus said who is my mother (denying mary), those who keep God's words (indicating that mary does not keep God's words), ah you guessed it Mary is Satan.

  • Well, if Mary is Satan, you're suggesting that God allowed Christ to be born through the womb of Satan?

That just makes no sense! In my opinion, that's quite the inaccurate claim my friend.

  • @timeclock232 ummmm, yeah, really twisting scriptures man (or woman)

  • while we are at it, here is something you can get jealous about, the antiChrist is John Zebudee in the bible, he says count the number of a man's name in revelation and that is called numerology and divination. he says jesus gave a new commandment at the last supper but he leaves out the new covenant. john says we saw a man casting out devils so we stopped him and lets call down fire from heaven, jesus tells him you dont know what spirit you belong to (hint hint),

  • @timeclock232 CAN I GET YOUR SCRIPTURE REFERENCE FOR THE (hint hint) COMMENT. THANKS

  • you sound jealous that you didnt find it first

  • I have seen another video you have on the Turin shroud - well pointed out again, I never realised that was there.
