Haha i totally i agree. That exact thing happened to me when my daughter turned 11 weeks old. I am a firm believer in fisherprice papasan swings, straps that keep babies in contraptions and radioshack brand batteries. ( thier D batteries lasted 2 months with all night usage EVERY night in our natures fisher price papasan swing) I wish i would have taken a snapshot of my daughter to show you.
hahah picture at the end was priceless...and omg i just read soem terrible comments on here dont listen! they obviously dont know what parenting is like!
for some odd reason kids find it comfortable in that position while being swung. If you check out kids at the playground on the swings, they like to swing that way. Also if you think about it, he's in that same position as he probably was when he was in the womb, so he is comfortable that way.
Oh, you're going to have fun at 19 months when he starts jumping in his baby bed, lol. We heard the kerplunk and crying...nothing broken but he scared himself and us nearly to death, lol.
When it comes to child rearing - especially for first timers - these mistakes are more common than you would think. If you were to ask other first time parents, I'm sure you will hear quite a number of similar horror stories. The important thing is that you learn from them. I'm glad that Jude didn't get hurt.
oh my that is so funny, cute and scary all at the same time! don't worry, something like that happens to us all. my little guy has tried to escape the swing as well and i had to start buckling him in too!
We are dealing with the same stuff! Our daughter (Maya) is about 5 months old so were going through all this, looks like yall are doing great though, love the videos, your little boy is too precious!
When my daughter was three weeks old I put her in her baby carrier and forgot to strap her in. When I picked up the carrier to get out of the car she tumbled out and was laying face down in the street. She had a bruise on her head and at the hospital I was convinced that a social worker would take her from her abusive mother. She was fine, I was a wreck. I still see that bruise in my mind and she is 11! When she does dumb stuff I tell her it's my fault that I dropped her as an infant.
omgggggggggggggggg my 10 month old daughter totally does stuff like that!!! she is a wiggle worm and i most def double check taht i strap her in, allllll the time...i've forgotten b4, and i've had similar situations...lol...baby jude looks super cute!!!! scary when u first saw him, i bet...but adorable!
That was really cute! Every parent is going to have those moments, that's for sure. Learn and laugh, I say. :) And yeah, your husband's facial expressions were funny!
Mine falls asleep in her jumperoo while she's jumping :/ I was tempted to buy the pink version of that swing, but one of my friend's bought it for her daughter and the straps actually broke while she was swinging in it.
LOL!! SO cute! It's like he was going to climb out, but figured out that it was comfy swinging like that instead. Way adorable!! That's cute you recorded it too.
lol I have the same swing (great swing) and I found my three month old the same way. He is a very active baby. He has swiggled and moved from the day he was born. my mom said shes never seen a baby like that lol. but i woke up in the middle of the night and he was just like that. it really scared me! but that is sooo cute
Ohhh that is gorgeous!! I could so imagine finding my son like that the little acrobat! I know the danger...but that is soooo cute, I wonder how long he was like that before he actually fell asleep? Classic, good on you for posting!
seriously adorable and I know that's wrong to say considering he could have fallen out and hurt himself. It's times like those, you have to giggle and thank god nothing happened. he is a cutie!!
LOL!! So adorable...but scary.
