My Grandfather died near the end of the war, in Germany at age 23. My mother was 4, at the time. I keep hoping to catch some coverage of him, on one of these films. Sadly, l only have a couple of photographs of him. My son looks just like him. :) It's sad he is not here, to see his legacy. War is hell, for everyone. We all should have learned something, from all of this. This video made me feel sad, for everyone involved, and effected by WW2. This could happen again, if we don't open our eyes.

In my opinion, WWII was the worst thing to happen, however! It opened the eyes of millions to what evil mankind can cause. America fought in WWI about 222 days. We came in and broke a stalemate of killing that was occurring in "no mans land" that helped end the war. As for WWII, we stayed out of the war until we were attacked. The only thing that I see that is "fucked" is your way of thinking regarding the United States!

The British also done day Raids on Axis Industy but it proved ineffective and costly as the U.S found out later. In my opinion, WWII was the worst thing to happen, however! It opened the eyes of millions to what evil mankind can cause. WWII was a reminder for people who have lost sight in what the truth is, lose sight of what the outcome of that is. I myself have asked people questions of WWII to friends and other people, and most of the time, people do not even know why or how WWII came to be. If people do not learn their history, this war WILL happen again. Period.

It's nice you start off with the parachute drops then end with battle for superiority in the bombing runs. This ay one sees how entrenched and virtually ineradicable the German forces were in Europe. Britain was in comparison majorly under-prepared in 1939 with its land-forces, and while it had excellent planes and small-arms, it lacked decent tanks, defences and field tactics. Thanks to the failed French Maginot Line, Blitzkrieg almost destroyed the BEF at Dunkirk. Still, the British made up for it during the Battle of Britain, Africa, Greece, Italy, and finally France, Belgium, Holland and Germany where they fought and won many major battles.

America fought in WWI about 222 days. We came in and broke a stalemate of killing that was occurring in "no mans land" that helped end the war. As for WWII, we stayed out of the war until we were attacked. The only thing that I see that is "fucked" is your way of thinking regarding the United States!

The British also done day Raids on Axis Industy but it proved ineffective and costly as the U.S found out later. Yes the British had alot of failed Operation the same as the U.S they took gambles that didnt pay off. Britain wasnt as the mercy of Germany, Battle of Britain we had plenty of Air-Craft it was Pilots that was problem and we humiliated the Luftwaffe 3-1 and crushed them

The British stopped the Axis invasion in the Battle of Britain(Biggest Air battle in history) and Humiliated the Italians in Grece,Balklands,Africa and Yes we couldnt win alone, But by 1942, British forces were winning in the Western Front thanks to Monty,(Who made alot of bad gambles D-Day-Berlin)
