Battletoads, a game a i love but just can't beat.

The raillevel with that rat chasing you is as far I can get.

He gets me every damn time and because of that I'm now capable of playing all the levels before that without losing a life. This Parazzing guy must have played this game for a very long time to get this good at it.

this is why Battle Toads will never be like Ninja Turtles:

1) game is too hard. and not "fun hard" - frustrating hard!

2) enemies are uninspired one-move baddies, and bosses are basically bigger more-HP versions of said baddies.

3) each game recycles famous (or should I say "infamous") levels from the previous, with better graphics, and makes them even harder.

4) Dark Queen talks a lot of trash, but she's a pathetic, uninspired final boss and nothing compared to multiple-move-bad-ass Shredder.

@igortroy The Battletoads don't use weapons though while the Turtles use weapons all the time.

The home console Battletoads games would have ruled immensely if Tradewest/Rare just kept with the whole game being a beat 'em up. The vehicle levels sucked tremendously especially with two players...You can be doing great but your friend fucks up and you're ready to hit him with a BT-like Sucker Punch.

@CAWGregoryBlack yeah ! its somehow weird that they named them battletoads . why not actiontoads? they have only few beat em up levels in the games which is really kick ass but after then there are much more vehicles -and climbinglevels . Only the arcade game do it right with the name and the gameplay . but i dont mean it bad ... i love battletoads and its one of the coolest franchises ever but the vehicle/climbing levels are fucking hard till impossible . =(

One thing i forgot: The design of the first level is really great to goof around with a friend (also because it IS the first level, it's nice to have quick access to a stage). Whenever we have a chance of playing this game, we always play Pigball: One player lift a pig and throws it to the other player who have to hit that pig in the air. I couldn't believe that both of us would have so much fun for hours at first.

I had it as a kid, it was instant love.

Around 7 years later I finally have beaten it.

What a glorious day it was...

Plus, it triggered my neverending wish of having a Virtual Reality Console.

I remember playing this back in the 90's as a child and fail

alot on most of those levels. Finally, finish that evil queen

for good without too many retrys. Music gave me some

groove to beat her for sure on the final stage.

i love this game, the music was freakin cool! perhaps, it was reeeally hard! Battletoads and souble dragon - the ultimate team was really cool too! my preferred move of all time was the GIGA-kick-in-the-ASS

as i was a kid , i thought that after the hoverbike-stage was more some beaten up-stages.but now im feel a little dissapointed about this game but its surely a great game. =D

i hope some great genius make a new battletoads game because i miss this series and it should be got a big comeback too like other awesome old game-franchises.T-T

not the best of the series. It only had 2 bosses and one beat em up level. It also cut out the awesome surfing level. The first Battletoads is still the best (with Battletoads Double Dragons a close second)

Ah yes, the infamous Battletoads. I'd heard a lot about its difficulty level, but I had no idea the graphics were so AMAZING! I didn't realize the SNES was capable of things like that!

Battletoads doesn't even have that good of graphics for the SNES. They get even more amazing!

It's the NES version that is really known for its difficulty, and perhaps what you are thinking of.

Actually, I was referring to the original on both counts more than this game. (Someone else has a video of the original, but I do wonder if cubex55 will play it too) Was it for the NES and not the SNES? Sometimes I get confused like that.
