I've seen her video singing while playing keyboard, and in my eyes she has wonderful hand and finger form to be a good pianist, and the way he moved her hand, wrist, elbow is good. Her musical ability is good, she has good ears

Simon is not the only person in the industry to sign people to deals. The little girl is good, when she is 100 % vocally ready, there are others who can sign her if they choose.
Assuming she was the singer I heard throughout this video: I think it would be best to wait and see whether she ever has a voice that is "worth" recording. Voice lessons might be a good start. Also: selecting repertoire written in a suitable key--with range she can reach w/o pushing--+ development of "consistent" vocal production--& getting rid of the "nasal" tone --+ developing a more "natural" (unaffected) style, combined with increased musicality would be goals to strive for as well.

I think for once, Simon Cowell did something good in his life. Probably he got emotionally invested in Connie, but that proved to be the best thing that could ever happened. Connie has a lot of talent and with or without Simon Cowell, if she perseveres, she will have what she deserves.

Connie has a great voice but she's still only a little girl and need to play too. Parents, are you living her dream or yours. Simon is a wise man. He could have acted Scrooge and made money out of her. Allow her to enjoy singing and not let it become a burden to her. She receives enough invitations to perform and media coverage, doesn't she? What more do you want?

You should have seen the joy on her face this week at Young Voices, you should have seen her dancing offstage with her friend, you should have seen her happy talking to people and having photographs. She is very happy and wants for nothing but happiness, her own and other peoples.

At her young age she's acheived more than most people in their entire life and I'm sure with or without a contract to her name that she will prosper. Just because the little girl has extreme vocals and talent in music does not mean that is what she should do in life. She has been given a great opportunity but it is her choice when she gets older to take it, not Simon's whether he comes through or not.

I agree. To young?? Yes she still is a child but she is singing and understanding grown-up lyrics as an adult but no question, she has one amazing talent and that does not take away her childhood, I'm sure. Conny is one amazing child. I'm lookin' forward when she grows older, maybe Simon ( a man who don't know anything ) will give her that record deal after all, if he doesn't, he's grazy...

I give KUDOS to Simon, because from what I understand, he said she was too young and he didn't want to take away her childhood and have her in the studios banging out the music to make money off of her. For a change a record mogul was more concerned about the general well being of a little one. Look at how many little ones get a claim to fame and then they end up embittered, addicted and an unhappy life. I think he'll do right by her, but not till she's old enough to handle it all.

Winning big deals doesn't always turn out best (it broke RBS), it would have restricted Connie. We may not have had all those priceless videos since BGT and even now we don't want to lose this precious angel to a faceless giant who may curb any new ideas she gets (eg acting). Still a good idea, just tread carefully.
