We actually had something similar to this in Perth, Western Australia, on a slightly smaller scale though, but the costumes were completely the opposite to what people have said, Over here they all had GUYS in them and i should know, i was turtwig.

well first of all the first and only pokemon center was in NYC but now its Nintendo World so yea mostly all the pokemon events will most likely happen here.but we dont get everything.there has yet to be a pokemon TCGWC at NY.

I have most of the games but havent been playing all of them lately. I have not won any games YET. I think I won Red and Blue GBC games. But Im workin on Ruby, Green, FireRed, LeafGreen, Mystery Dungeon, and soon to get Diamond and Pearl. ^-^ I loved the N64 games and addicted to my all time fav Pokemon Puzzle League. Pokemon D&P is the best game ever. Unlike other pokemon games you can do a 2 on 2 battle aswell as 1 on 1. There is this feature called poketech where you can upload stuff on it like clocks, steps you've taken and other things. Also in these versions you can not only collect pokemon from the game but also you can insert any other pokemon game (like pokemon gold or ruby etc.) into the slot at the bottom and you can transfer any pokemon into this newer version (even if it is not in pokemon D&P)
