Wonderfully well-rounded. My daughter(high school graduate of the East Bay Waldorf School in El Sobrante, CA) is now 22, going to school to become an architect, while working for a local architect 36 hours a week. Every day I am happy for the outstanding schooling she had with the Waldorf curriculum.

haha "Hippies are cult concealed in different form."haha their jest jealous because they know that they cant send their kids to a school like this one! i am a child there and i love the school! every class is like a family, and every teacher like a parent! it is an amazing thing.and also i have been with the same teacher (mrs.B as seen in first comment at the bottom of the page) for 7 years and she is a wonderful teacher.With LOVE, an 8th grader.

The sentiment is good- but please not Steiner waldorf- these schools are rooted in the spiritual science/religion anthroposophy- they are reluctant to talk about it openly, but it is watched as a cult.

After school, instead of imposing your values on your children, you let them do the activities they like with slight parental guidance towards a healthier direction. Doing so, you allow your children to become more enlightened and free. You don't need Steiner Waldorf. You need to expose kids to both discipline and freedom, not just one of them.

...Wonderful presentation into this type of education. I sent my daughter through a Waldorf education from K - 12, with her class becoming the first class to graduate the 12th grade. She is now 21 and working for an Architect, going to school to become one herself, professionally. I would like to see more Waldorf inspired charter schools.
