This comment is coming from an older guy born and raised on Led Zeppelin/Black Sabbath/UFO/BOC and the like. Every once in awhile, I get hooked by something newer (i.e. after 1980) and she is IT! @TheElch666 Linking Park has a very different style, and I'm including they're sound even back from Hybrid Thoery. Chester's voice is less raspy and much brighter, so rather than add colour he would just be competing with Amy. The two voice wouldn't have much contrast.

I believe the 2nd vocal part is meant for a darker voice that's raspy. Tim of Rise Against and Adam of 3 Days Grace come to mind. Hence also why Amy did a Duet with Seether.
