He's kind of too big for Royce, it'd have had to happen back in the day in Pride or something where they let guys that were more than 30lbs apart fight anyhow. If it was the young Rampage, vs a '93 Royce, Royce could maybe find a way to tie him up 'n submit him, but Sakuraba barely did it to a green Rampage and he's "The Gracie Hunter". So, I give Royce less of a chance either way.
@1992lance Green, as in fresh out the box or still up-n-coming. Sakuraba was Rampage's first Pride fight, when he got into the big leagues. Saku was slaughtering Gracies back then too, and Rampage was suppose to be a nobody being fed to Sakuraba so he could get a rematch with Wanderlei. Rampage made it hard on him though 'n escaped more sub attempts than most pros would have against Saku. So, it would have been a tough fight for Royce, who has less striking than Saku, he'd prob get KO slammed.

@1992lance The current Rampage vs '93 Royce? If so, I see Rampage winning by brute force. He's kind of too big for Royce, it'd have had to happen back in the day in Pride or something where they let guys that were more than 30lbs apart fight anyhow. If it was the young Rampage, vs a '93 Royce, Royce could maybe find a way to tie him up 'n submit him, but Sakuraba barely did it to a green Rampage and he's "The Gracie Hunter". So, I give Royce less of a chance either way.

@1992lance Green, as in fresh out the box or still up-n-coming. Sakuraba was Rampage's first Pride fight, when he got into the big leagues. Saku was slaughtering Gracies back then too, and Rampage was suppose to be a nobody being fed to Sakuraba so he could get a rematch with Wanderlei. Rampage made it hard on him though 'n escaped more sub attempts than most pros would have against Saku. So, it would have been a tough fight for Royce, who has less striking than Saku, he'd prob get KO slammed.

@jagemobe - How do you define "getting into your head"? I take it as a fear of a fighter that has beaten you or having a lack of confidence against a fighter that has beaten you. Rampage just said he was haunted by the loss and he wants to avenge it. That does not mean his training or concentration will be lacking. No contradiction by Ram. I would want to avenge my losses too. Chuck was in the head of Tito and it showed in the fight. Tito looked scared and he lacked confidence. Just my 2 cents

I'm not sure who determined what "we are talking about". It takes two (at least) to agree to that. Don't know why you are making it so difficult, but there's really not much more to say than repeat "when you are having nightmares about a fighter, he is in your head". Assuming, of course, that Rampage's nightmares come from his head. How you perform as a result of it is irrelevant. You can respond well, or not.

I felt I saw the same thing myself in those two fights....a fighter who was pretty much dominating (Rampage) his spirited opponent (Silva - who backs down from no one), but, as in any fight, fell victim to a strike. It's not like Wandy can't fight like a tiger! It's just that Ram-ram is a bigger, better tiger. Wand is a warrior, but he's too small for Rampage, and doesn't have a speed advantage

Beating Wand in UFC and not in his prime, is not the same as beating him in his prime in Pride. You never managed to do so. No one did. He was a champion for 5 years! Silvia came into this fight thinking he was going to get the same outcome as the previous two fights. Just listen to him in the pre fight interviews. Rampage was the better fighter over all that night. Silvia threw those wild looping punches and kept his hands down while doing so and Rampage out boxed Silvia.
