Awesome clip. I just started training with my nunchakus for both show and practical use (looking forward to glow chuks at raves!!) You gave me a few ideas to work on. Thanks for the demonstration!
looks great, but i have a problem with letting go or loosening grips on weapons. This guy obviously knows what he's doing, but i have to wonder how many people hurt themselves or others trying to emulate him.
damn, u got big ass fingers...lol...i wanna learn how to do that..i never saw chucking with fingers....btw keep that up and u'll get pretty good muscles in ur forearms and fingers...if u do this nonsto for 2 - 5 mins everyday and squeeze tennis bhalls, u'll got monster forearms!!!
in a practical sense chucks are worthless (unless you are fighting an unarmed opponent), so your comment is retarded. this guy is awesome, end of story.
Yes in a practical sence they are useless, in the sence of just happening to have a pair on you. But used properly they can be very effective. Also theres no need to be so rude.
Yes they can be very effective, but less so if you do finger rolls like in this video, as they have no force and result in your weapon flying away from you if another weapon strikes them. As for happening to have a pair, check out square nunchucks that fold easily for keeping in your pocket, or air-loop rope ones that you can take apart when the cops come. Yawara sticks and Kubotans are more compact and highly effective, just less so against knives, longer sticks (bats, pool sticks), etc
uber failure!!!!!!! dont use your fingers!!!! theres more muscle in your wrists and more power in the momentum of the chucks!!!!!
than there are in your fingers!!!!! you hit somebody with the chucks while the chucks are still between your fingers, ill garantee you that youll never use your fuckin fingers ever again.
i think this is more for intimidation purposes....against someone this skilled, this would make me run for the hills. i dont know much about nunchucks, but i've been hit b4. these hurt like hell. i'm not fighting anyone who can wield them so easily.
well in a real fight. he wont be swinging them between his fingers. he wouldnt move them. somebody was charging at him, it would take too long for him to get the wood in his palm and strike. free style isnt inpressive. the only inpressive thing is making your opponent tuck tail and run.
That is where you are wrong. The bo staff is my main weapon, which is MUCH heavier than a pair of nunchaku. So, on to the part about you being wrong, 98% of the spins, and spin slashes that I connect with my opponent during, the staff is held between nothing but my index and middle finger, or my thumb and index finger. I do a little bit of "chucking" on the side, and I find that it is much more effective to do what he is doing, and doesn't damage your fingers one bit.
i think the technique shown is a skill for sure....not sure how it would apply to actual fighting. but martial arts is not called arts for nothing....it is an art and thanks for the extra move in my arsenal. and i definately agree....expensive weapons do not make you better....i have used them for well over 30 years and i prefer simple chain and swivel octogon 14 inch. nothing special. check the origins of nun chakus. they developed from gardening tools. thrashing tool if i am correct:-)
I don't upload these videos for you to be impressed. I upload these videos for my friends to be informed. So far the only thing you brought to this discussion is negativity and to that I will reply. I am not impressed
and please don't spam other people's video . I don't need prochuks. I need a new tristaff.
a more experienced martial artist may realize expensive weapons don't make your techniques better.(You should meditate on it)
you actually don't need prochux just to swing and play around.but,in a combat situation give me prochux against dinosaur chux any day.How they make a difference! That question is quite easy,
1)lighter 2)balanced 3)more control.I could go on but,now swing those dinochux and you will be able to see and feel the differences.chux have evolved,so should we.And they are not expensive. Just quality.
i like dinochux a lot more for combat, bigger area, stronger hits , less predictable, and i like pro chux to swing and play hehe, guess its just a matter of styles, but i dont think we should evolve...instead i think we should master both
yo, dog you r the man hommie i wish i could do that this is very helpful thanks hommie that was sick and tottaly richous dog thanks a lot peace out dog

Those finger roles are pretty but in a practical sence they are worthless. If your flow is disrupted in btween those roles you will lose your chucks.

I agree, but being ready for hit/blow is not a point of freestyle... So let freestylers do whatever they want. I'm more for the classical use...
