@Flattrate we did 4 seasons with this motor with oil changes and a set of spark plugs only with a huge number of 7 second runs with the best of 7.2 @ 186mph.

@reubentg it can do, all depends on the motor and tuning and also the type of transmission your running etc. I use a small shot of NOS to spool the turbo on the transbrake and with the exact engine combination you see there we are now running 7.2s on the 1/4 with no lag off the line.

@dacraze1 ebay turbos may hold up but fuck i been in a ebay turbo civic and the the power is all at the top the power curve on those knock off turbo sucks all the power is it at your engine redline so its barely useable
nice i hav an rb30 block on my gtr thinking of strocking the engine to 3.2L and running a gt42r on 98octane with meth injection hopeing to crack 100was0hp (flywheel), i wanted a gt45r but its just too big the car needs to be usable as its a street car so.. , love it in the 240z really nice just 4wd or rwd ???
@wannagoodcar Because running a bigger turbo at lower boost makes colder air. this turbo is too small now anyway, we've run 7.2s on the 1/4 with it in our other car.
they obviously know what there doing , so instead of hating on whats obviously bad ass, why not try to appreciate it for what it is and learn . check out there other videos, its undeniable the amount of talent they have , and the quality of there work speaks for its self . .

@wannagoodcar Because running a bigger turbo at lower boost makes colder air. this turbo is too small now anyway, we've run 7.2s on the 1/4 with it in our other car.

The GT45 is phisicly much bigger and flows quite a bit more air, we used to have a T51r spl on there but upgraded to the GT45.

Not much, a GT45 (depending on what GT45 of course) would be capable of maybe 11-1200hp if everything is really fit.

It'll run what it runs and I'm not expecting 7s for quite some time if at all.
As most people find out, once you get around 8.3 to 8.4 its not easy to get those next few 10ths.
I'll be happy with under 8.5 and over 170mph on street tyres and gasoline.

ive noticed with the new combo the gt45 sits higher than theold turbo, T51R? was it? does it fit under the bonnet still? or out the bonnet?

The turbo is 1/2 in, 1/2 out of the bonnet and we'll have a scoop to help direct air into the lower 1/2 of the turbo.
