  • Awesome video full of great history!

  • @ScaleCarModels Thanks

  • Very interesting video excursion!

  • Thank you very much for the reply "PAmining" Yeah.....they all were "as rough as guts!!! Yet back then in their day, would we rather NOT have these noisy gas chambers and do the tough work of an Irish navy with a hand shovel, pick and wheelbarrow? (that's a "no brainer")

  • Another good and infomative video!.....Nice old machine, but would have being a bugger of a thing to operate, with all that noise, heat and fumes!

  • @decaid53 How do you think all old cable shovels were lol. Thanks

  • What Hurcules did these have? a 339?

  • what colour would these machines have been?

  • @jimbo10003 Bay City colors consisted of a red/orange colored house with the boom, dipper handle and bucket and car body painted black. If you look when I show you the name on the counterweight you can still see some of the original paint by the letters. I have also seen some restored Bay City shovels at equipment shows that are painted in different colors too.

  • Be nice to see it restored and operating again.

  • @deeredv84 It would, but that's the problem I have with a lot of these preservation societies. If more people there actually did what we did and locate and find this old equipment, I guarantee more would be saved. Can't always expect people to come to you.

  • @PAmining did you do a video on the other one out thier close to this one

  • @jeremylee99100 No that one was in real bad shape and half parted out

  • It is a pity to see an old equipment in a derelict state...Perhaps there are people who restore it to museums, etc. Damn, someone dragged off the engine:) Interesting video, thanks for the excursion!

  • she looks like she would have been a loud cold beast to run in the winter and just as bad in the summer heat. I doubt she was built for comfort...lol

  • @bankrun04 None of these old shovels were lol

  • no rating? I'll give it 100% =] keep it up bro!

  • @I3lackl3ear Thanks man!

  • Keep on keepin' on Justin! All of your vids turn out great.

  • @tdiez17 It's not my machine and I'm for preserving old vintage machines like this, not scrapping them

  • Great video.

    Kyle

  • Love the old heavy iron equipment.

Thanks for posting all the great vids.

  • @73Shakes Thanks, your welcome!

  • UNIT bought them because Unit had the better machines and its best to eliminate compitition. Unit made a good move when buying Bay City. Did you get a video of the one far off in the back ground? UNIT and NORTHWEST are the best cranes/shovels ever made!

  • @UnitCrane514 No the one in the background was half parted out and in real bad shape. Nothing left of it but the house.

  • that is soo cool

  • what is the drag line in the background at 2:09

  • @98tractorboy It was another Bay City shovel but smaller and half parted out. Boom and handle were removed along with the left track.

  • Never heard of "Bay City"! :-/

  • @beerdeddi1 Well now you learned something!

  • Excellent. Thanks-

  • like like like and like! and l'd like very much to smash the face of whoever broke that glass...
