Per Obama cash for clunkers is a great success but it is a real flop.The gov has only paid 2 percent of claims, and rejected 4 out of 5 applications. per dem. congressman Sestak - PA. in a letter to Obama. If he cant pay claims on a temp $2 billion program, can we trust him to pay claims on a $1.5 trillion perm life and death program such as Obamacare?We dont have enough cash for the Obamacare clunker with a Rolls Royce price tag. Tell him to scrap the clunker and let us keep our cadillac

Clinton's "surplus" came from passing the Republican capital gains tax cuts (which allowed higher tax revenues because it helped the economy grow) and because Republicans kept Clinton from overspending. So if we are to replicate that, we need to throw out the Democrats in Congress and the Senate. Good news. 2010 would likely do just that.

"Non-partisan" Would not be the correct way of phrasing these events. As a Texan, I have seen countless "tea-bagging" (Do they really have to use this phrase?) portrayed as ignorant, bitch-fests held by staunch republicans and neo-conservatives, who wouldn't ordinarily be representing your dear GOP, but are doing so in desperation for keeping this thing alive.

I wish there WERE more senators like this man, however using buzz words like 'socialism' cannot be used to explain the measure of things.

Too bad it is falling on deaf ears. My Tea Party was fun because we got to stand for our Constitution together. I met people who felt the same as me. Senator DeMint is right; the government is greedy. And, it is worse than corporate greed because at least corporations hire people and we retain our rights. The government gets greedy and we lose freedom and economic prosperity!
