  • Im so confused, love Tool anyway

  • Great album, I listened to it straight through once I saw it on here yesterday!

  • Best youtube upload ever

  • First of all..i love tool..ive loved them ever since the day I heard

hush, but I never realized how defensive tool fans are until the internet came out. I mean were almost as bad as Christianity,we have that your either with us or fuck off attitude, and i think that's completely hypocritical.when a band promotes thinking for yourself and opening up your third eye and to be conscious of everything that happens around you.The product of that shouldn't be what the product has become.

  • MY BUTT SMELLZ!!!!

  • WHERE IS REFLECTION???

  • @Xormac2 ehm... i've committed a mistake... sorry XD

  • All I can say is; thank you.

  • is this supposed to make me sick and love it?

  • Ahhh Tool fans. We think so much... Maybe too much...

  • Official means NARC protected lmaoh

  • Neat. Good thing it's hard to screw up Tool!

  • Thank you for uploading... now I'm out watching the weather, change...

  • "Trapped inside this Octavarium..."

  • if its possible could you please send me a high definition of this, It would be greatly appreciated

  • How come Triad doesn't come right after Reflection? In the end of Reflection you can here the beginning of Triad and they blend perfectly. Why would Maynard do that if he was trying to make the songs connected in this order? I'm not trying to flame I'm just honestly curious.

  • @GasMaskedMidget This isnt an official album, its a reordering of Lateralus made by fans

  • @itokewithcudder I know it is. I'm a huge fan of Tool and I own all of their albums except for Salival. What I'm trying to say is if Maynard really did plan this Fibonacci Sequence stuff, then how come Reflection and Triad blend so perfectly in the normal album order? If he wanted to connect the songs by a spiral wouldn't he have the songs directly connect when put in the sequence instead of in the normal album?

  • @GasMaskedMidget What you say is true. The end of Relfection and the beginning of Triad fit perfectly. But again this way to play the songs is just a way of interpretation. I'm skeptical about this "Holy Gift" album just as you, but we have to admit that the songs really fit with each other. That's puzzling ! :)

  • @VivTheORage Right. It will forever be puzzling haha

  • @GasMaskedMidget That doesn't make any sense. So just because it sounds ok when played normally, that means that it cant also sound ok when played in this order? If anything the fact that it sounds planned either way is evidence of how clever this is

  • 3:04. Sex.

  • I love this version of tool, it really does have a different vibe from the original track order.

  • Fav Tool Album.....hands down.

  • Listened to this whole thing... start to finish on the night of my birthday ty what a gift indeed.

  • I must keep reminding myself of this.

  • @swed420kid69 and watch the weather change..

  • not only do it like this album alot i think it should be played at ample volume.

  • i think this album kicks ass. i like it alot.

  • time to work on one of my guitars and fix the intonation on it. all while listening to this art!!

    tool

  • Are you sure it is not overthinking, over-analyzing?

  • i fucking love you tool

  • LEVITATE!

  • the messenger only do not worship words or those who speak them

  • this form i hold now thank you

  • @orangierocks Glad to see someone besides me noticed the irony in that first line.

  • I like it, but I already have the Lateralus album. aren't they releasing an album for 2012????

  • wow you start to melt from the moment you hit the play button..

its sometimes hard to comprehend music could be this good,,so good it almost feels like a drug itself..

  • @ShOwStOpp3rr tool may have psychedelic properties lol

  • i don't get it. to me the album is fine as it is. disposition clearly goes into reflection on the album, whatever you might think.

  • wow what a trip

  • this is truly a gift....God, what man can create, eh?

  • Is there a download for this??? I need to listen to the holy gift while driving!

  • Comment removed

  • You know you're awesome when you listen to the whole video.

  • nice transition between schism and ticks.

  • eargasm!!!

  • @Organonfire Amen Brother!

  • I really enjoyed this, however I didn't like the overlap of Eon Blue and Reflection. I love Reflection and I thought that the overlap was distracting and detracted from the awesome beat of Reflection.

  • schisms drums.... tools drumER is AWESOME!!!!

  • was Mantra and Lateralus played atop one another?

  • @JLeeMorganJr

    Yes :P

  • @JLeeMorganJr no its just called two different things

  • @JLeeMorganJr yes

  • Second part:

    33:06 - 35:44 - Faaip de Oiad

    35:44 - 44:15 - The Grudge

    44:15 - 50:45 - Triad

    50:45 - 1:01:00 - Eon Blue Apocalypse / Reflection

    1:01:00 - 1:07:51 - Disposition

Thank me later. What's your favourite part of Lateralus and why?

For me it's Disposition and Reflection, great aids while meditating.

  • @MikePostDrums That's great man thanks

  • @TheSoYa Thank you for posting this. To me, Tool really is the ultimate band. Great musicianship, calming melodies and rhythms especially, yet they have really engaging and energizing songs. Lateralus is by far their best album.

  • @MikePostDrums thats like asking what your favorite part of heaven is... to judge something this godly is some sort of sin... shame on the tool haters! they will burn in hell for their mistakes! this should be the face of modern music! (justin beiber being the wart next to the asswhole)

  • First part:

    00:00 - 03:04 - Parabol

    03:04 - 09:03 - Parabola

    09:03 - 15:44 - Schism

    15:44 - 23:48 - Ticks and Leeches

    23:48 - 33:06 - Mantra/Lateralus

  • Can someone upload same thing but with the videos???? (official)... PLEEEASEEE

  • @gmeniche What does official mean -.-

  • @TheSoYa The official videos, not fan made videos etc.

  • @TheSoYa it means that this guy officially wants his ass kicked.

  • @chronitized Fucking rolled laughing when I saw what you said! x]

  • @gmeniche there are only a few videos to ist, not all of them exist as a video!

  • @Toolophilia I know.. but I thought it would be fun to analyze all together.. music, lyrics and videos

  • @gmeniche theres parobola and schism official videos the rest are not really official

  • @gmeniche Official... meaning you want the band to come and upload their music?? What are they teaching you kids in school these days...

  • listened to this 3 times today

  • I am a big TOOL fan and I find this intriguing, but I have a question. I understand the explanation behind the reordering, but what is the reason for the mashup of Eon Blue Apocalypse over the intro of Reflection? Having them play simultaneously, breaks the rules used to establish the new sequence. Does it not?

  • HOLY SHIT! IT'S AN ENDLESS LOOP!!!

  • Is this full thing available to download anywhere??? Cuz I love it!

  • This is just amazing, this album is pure art, it goes beyond the music, it's the experience, the feelings, the emotions, you feel when you listen to it ordered as a spiral, thumbs up for Fibonacci!!!!

  • interesting theories abound and surround tool. i like the way this ordering runs, because the grudge is such a perfect piece of work, and for me encapsulates the band in one swathe of brilliance, a song like parabola -great though it is- sounds like a pop song. having parabol and parabola first works, because it gives the album room to build.

  • thumbs up if tool's your favorite band!!!

  • How is this different? Sounds awesome anyways.

  • 34:00 Lunopolis!

  • @PizzaHunter2011 I didn't think of this, it is a well known rearrangement. However, no one had the video on youtube, and I had this on my computer so I decided to upload it. Some people want to see it, but it's ok if you don't. However it is really sad that you find a need to spam and troll this page. I removed your comment because that kind of hostility is unneeded, childish, and downright annoying.

  • @PizzaHunter2011 Go do it then.

  • I've got another version of the "double spiral/double helix" theory that I've never seen on the net : 13, 1, 12, 2, 11, 3, 10, 4, 9, 5, 8, 6, 7 the journey/album starts with a "dark awakening" (Faaip De Oiad, aliens, government secrets, ect) and ends with the transcendence of the "conspiratorial" mindset (Parabol/Parabola) a few more points about "my" version : Ticks And Leeches is the track before the transcendence occurs and the last track is the 7th (a "magical" number) either way, tool rocks

  • @thrashguitarmaster70 Lol why would I get mad?

  • @TheSoYa People have a tendency to be rather hostile on the internet.

  • One comment, if you reorder the songs in spiral, shouldn't you use the vinyl edition track order?

  • @thrashguitarmaster70 Good idea. I'm gonna have to check that out. Don't they have disposition on the first side or something?

  • @TheSoYa wait so whats the deal with this thing?

  • @thrashguitarmaster70 Do you recommend listening too the album as it was published first? or by the holy gift?

  • @uberwarlocker Either way, it's just as awesome.

  • @uberwarlocker Both

  • @TheSoYa alright

  • @TheSoYa original 1st

  • I'm glad I looked at this. I thought it was a fake new album at first. Thanks for doing this for us and making it easy on us.

  • @apocalist420 zomgwtfbbq!

  • sobriety is optional, but not recommended

  • @MasterofPuppetz234

ah its a little intense tho

  • Wake up to consciousness.. we are here in this reality.. face it.. embrace it.. realize the fact that we are sucking mother earth dry with our egotistical ways. Tearing down her trees, polluting her air and ground with landfills and fossil fuels in order to fulfill our false need of luxury. Mother earth is the sole provider. Everything we use in life comes from mother earth. We can't keep taking and taking.. we need to use only what's necessary.. before she gives up on us, or, "walks away."

  • @ForeverConscious don't worry mother earth will survive longer than humans! we are constantly raping nature though, and we're all GUILTY as fuck!

  • Tool Is an Amazing Band. Maynard Has An Understanding Of Our Universe That Many Others Dont Get. Kudos To Tool and Maynard For Sharing Their Wisdom and Understanding With The Rest Of Humanity...

  • @viciouscherry16 why did you capitalize the first letter of every word in that sentence?

  • Comment removed

  • @FallingInLight83 yep, did a quite big research, a lot of Qabalahs symbols, as for Tarot, alchemy, astrology and a lot of other mysticism, really into a sense how everything is connected

    Love Danny and Grey

  • no reflection on the list ...

  • where can i dowload this?

  • In response to all the "this isn't how the album is supposed to sound" crtics: Tool had to cut a lot of music and bridges between the song. So the fact is, Lateralus itself isn't the way the band intended it to be.

  • @7headed10horned If it wasn't how they intended it to be, then it would have not been released as it is, they control their media pretty strongly. So, it is exactly how it is intended to be heard.

  • @Demoncleanerrr Wikipedia the album. If you knew anything about the creation of media, you would understand that not everyone is given full reign over how long their albums are. Lateralus was intended to be far longer.

  • @7headed10horned ok fine, but are those segues here? no.. they are not. so the band released what they were able to the way it was ment to be released. what are you not understanding? your wiki article doesn't change anything. IF the segues were here they songs would STILL be in the same order but we would have more filler. If you knew anything about common sense maybe you would understand that.

  • @7headed10horned also I think I should reiterate.. I'm not saying this is BAD.. I'm saying you guys are really reaching here. Believe what you like, you should be able to get whatever you want out of the song and express yourself as you see fit.. this is GOOD.. I just think in this case, It's absurd. If it flowed better at all I would maybe give it the nod of approval, but it doesnt.

  • This is great but it's not the way the album was suppose to be heard, sorry.. it sounds better the way it was done in the first place. again, this is awesome, but seriously trying too hard. This is akin to finding the number 23 everywhere you look. Fascinating.. but ridiculous.

  • @FallingInLight83 not sayed it is buddhistic oriented, just have a lot of motives of that

would you like to tell me more about Qaballah inside it?

  • Comment removed

  • Is it just me or does mantra almost just seem like its there for the people that figured this out. Because the whole path the album takes you down is so damn epic i feel like he was just like "ok yall want some shit i will give you some shit." (insert mischevious maynard face here)

  • Well, I'm busy for the next hour.

  • @heavybass4ever 1000 bands similar to tool. please, indulge me with 10% of the full list.

  • @ladicius lol, i forgot to end the sentence

  • @ladicius so i will remove comment, this is really a shame

  • @heavybass4ever What the fuck did you smoke that made you think theres even one band similar to Tool?

    ...I want some.

  • @heavybass4ever

Name 5 bands like tool, that don't have members of tool in them. PLUS I WANT WHATEVER YOUR SMOKING!

  • thumbs up if you watched the whole thing!

  • @klinky92 I'm gonna thumbs up ahead , without knowing the songs but yeah it's Tool so I can be sure I will watch the whole thing :)

  • WATCH THE WEATHER CHANGE

  • @sparkymaxis JFGI. It came from idea's suggested by the album itself. So whether or not it was intentional, it still came from Lateralus. And if it's a "glaring offense" for everyone to reorder music (aka, making playlists) then I guess I'm a Sinner.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSoYa Look up "Rare Tool Interview about 10,000 days - feat. Maynard James Keenan and Danny Carey " and watch at 6:25. It wont let me post the url. Weird.

  • @sparkymaxis also ur link doesnt work

  • @LiQydFyre w/e i tried

  • This isnt cool. If you know anything about Tool, or anything about any real artist, they do not want their work presented in a way which they did not intend it to be presented. I get why someone would want to do this, but it seems wrong. Or maybe I am missing something and am totally wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • @sparkymaxis I believe you are. And I did not come up with this. This was discovered by an anonymous fan and no one had it uploaded on youtube, so I took liberty upon myself to upload it since I had it already. So I'm not sure who you are calling out.

  • Comment removed

  • @sparkymaxis You should look into this a little. It's a pretty well known reordering. So it's not like I just said I like it better this way. And how would you know this isn't how it was meant to be presented?

  • @TheSoYa Do you own the Lateralus album? If you do then you know that this i not the track order as the band released it. The most glaring offense is the displacement of Disposition/Reflection/Triad. Those are all meant to be one movement.

  • @sparkymaxis I think the main difference that we are seeing here is that you view this as hindering the album. I view it as expanding. So agree to disagree.

  • @sparkymaxis i understand you, this is not the best way of experiencing art, it does not have good sound quality and you miss the album artwork wich is part of the whole concept. Anyway its not wrong nor right, its just another option to get this, maybe some people dont care for a quality experience, just "know how the album is" still is an option and that is good.

PD: im not listening the album in here, i will buy it when it comes out, so i own a beautiful piece of art

  • @PowerRushFlame Very well said, but this is not coming out. Allot of the sound was lost uploading. If it's the true album quality you want then I suggest buying "Lateralus" and reordering it manually like I did so you still have the sound quality.

  • Comment removed

  • if tool makes a frikkin x mas album i will vomit

  • The thing that everyone gets wrong with this is, Parabol is meant to be the LAST track, then the album is an infinite loop. Get it? :)

  • @EvolvingTruthSeeker Thats why I closed with it.....

  • @TheSoYa But you also opened with it... which is rather confusing because you're not meant to. Are you?

  • @101ways2sayme It's meant to loop, so yes, you are supposed to.....

  • based on nothing at all, my preference is 4,1,8,2,3,5,6,7,10,11,12,9,13

  • I knew the peices fit.

  • Comment removed

  • Fuck, they SHOULD have put Parabol/Parabola as the first 2 tracks!

  • people isnt this supposed to be about the MIND not government?

  • @metallica3678 note the section of the song just after 33:33 about how the government is going to basically let the aliens kill us off so the few that are left are more easily controlled.

  • tool for president!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • we need to move ahead technologically starting with the magnet motor car WHICH IS POSSIBLE BUT THEY ARE NOT USING because they love money so much i dont know i seem to be the only person who actually cares that this world is so fucked up i hate not knowing what to do

  • anybody hear the part about the government not caring if the aliens kill off most of the population, thats insane,w/e if anything does go down 2012, i hope most of us get kidnapped by the good aliens, but what i think we should do is demand the goddamn full truth from the government about aliens, and maybe demand a new government or some sort of social government(Internet government where everyone can watch too), and well, if we live(if the police/military/aliens dont kill most of us)

  • @LiQydFyre we already have an alien government don't we?

  • @gromeroskwelch yeah the reptilian shapeshifters control the majority of the population of the world but im talking about the pleadians i guess, they supposedly will be saving the majority of the population or we may just 'ascend' into another dimension i dont know, i wish i did. anyways, the pleadians have a few cd's also of really crazy techno supposedly recorded from radio waves transmitted from across the galaxy and you can look that up if you don't believe me if not stfu.

  • @gromeroskwelch btw i wasnt telling you to stfu
