I have the greatest respect for art teachers, but watching this video with the camera constantly bobbing around made me feel sick! I couldn't even get through it. Tripod, man!
Will be finishing intro to color theory w/ high school classes early this week and was planning to show Bearden as part of Black History Month. Think I'll show this to students last day before winter break.
I have always loved Bearden's work. Great job, John. I have always had a sneaking admiration for Gramsci (what a guy!), but kept it quiet. In the circles I travel in, nobody's heard of this jewel. Val
Bruddy, you are going to be famous. Not only was this hysterical (Miss Foreyzin and Dorkus), but the educational aspects of it were really good--laughing outloud AND learning about Romare Bearden (not to mention my growing appreciation for Mr. Gramsci, who I had never heard about before your oevre began to grow.
Okay, I take back my comment about respecting all art teachers. This is asinine.
