  • this isn't stupid, they had these at a kids indoor play center

  • i might build a arcade table soon

  • @TheNews1990 Sweet! Be sure to make a video and post it as a response!

  • @StupidInventions my design so far will take a while to make but... i think its gonna be more like a desk and will take a while to buy the wood

  • @TheNews1990 Well then, good luck! Sounds awesome!

  • can you make a tutorial how to make this man and how much did it cost to make

  • @TheKIERANR well its really just a laptop and monitor with special software put into a bookshelf...

it cost me $200 to make because I already had the monitor and computer....

but $100 was for the arcade controls, you can get a cheaper version for like $20....

  • that not a stupid invention

  • @GTidm thanks! glad you like it!

  • this rules

  • @qaiken thanks!

  • THAT... IS... AWWWWWWWSOME

  • @zachesmith thanks man! check out our newest arcade!

  • lol, i dont know what that means, but im glad you like the invention! :)

  • check out jim carey's "unnatural act" stand up, all three parts are on youtube

  • lol, will do when I get a chance... :)

  • That is so awesome!! =)

I would love that in my living room... of course, i'd never get anything done .. but, ... i'd still love it!! =)

Btw it is not Sad.... its very cool. =)

    -Moni_Bologna

  • lol, I have this in my basement, and the arcade Bookshelf in my room.... it's a wonder how I get anything done, :)

  • ya know, if you hook it up to a computer desk itbe be cook too. like the kind that slide out

  • good point, if I ever make another one I would use a sliding draw like that...

  • sad?

    :(

  • That's pro, it's like a cocktail style arcade machine from the 80's in your living room. What program are you using to run the games? MAME?

  • I use MAME to play arcade games, it has a whole bunch of emulators, and i use a frontend program to list all the games in one place and launch the proper emulator for the game... I played and beat the entire Super Mario 64 on that thing.. :)

  • In no way is that a stupid invention.

    Pat yourself on the back.

I'm definitely making a traditional cabinet.

  • thanks, have you seen the bookshelf arcade? that one is closer to a traditional cabinet, and really cheap to make...

  • Looks very cool!

  • thanks!

  • do you jkeep all of your inventions??

  • I try to... but a lot of times I take them apart and use the parts to make future Stupid Inventions... I'm on a very low budget... :)

  • i want one how much are they $300

  • This one cost me $200 but the arcade bookshelf was only $100

  • what inspierd you to make it

  • they make arcade games similar to this called a cocktail arcade, and i always wanted one, so i made this!

  • r u a hardcore gamer?

  • i wouldnt say hardcore, but i do love video games, especially the classics.....

  • You've been reading microsofts blueprints D=

  • ha, i dont think this table is as cool as microsofts...

  • how much did it cost to make this

  • this one cost $200, but $100 of that is for the arcade controls because they're extremely well made and guaranteed for life... I used cheaper ones in the bookshelf arcade so that one cost me only $100 total to make...

  • That's epic...

    Kudos!

  • thanks you!

    glad you liked it!

  • i want one! :)

  • lol, try making your own!

  • lol nice great job totaly fake but nice to see you have an emaganation.lol.

  • whats fake?

    its a real arcade emulator!

  • wf is not fake its so real its more real then the ps3 haha so shut the f up

  • awesome!

  • thanks!

  • Cool!

  • thanks!

  • this sheet is amazing.you could really make a career reproducing awesome stuff like this.

  • thanks!

well im studying to be an Electrical Engineer...

  • You know something, you should keep this around for you have kids, cause they gotta play the classics at an early age ya know :) .

  • ok, I 100% agree with you...

in fact, I plan on decorating their nursery with those Donkey Kong and Super Mario wall graphics.... :)

  • lol, thanks!

  • This is amazing NOT stupid at all!

  • thanks!

  • does it really hav almost every arcade game ever invented if so i want one nd great inventions u kudd tottally be an inventor... oh wait u r one

  • lol, thanks!

well I downloaded the software of these games over the internet, so I cant really take credit for that.

  • You have to sell your inventions!!!!!

  • lol thanks!

This one cost about $200 to make, but $100 of that was for the well made and awesome arcade control board...

  • thats not dumb either I WANT IT!

  • yeah this is one of the most fun inventions!

  • NICE !!!!

  • thanks!

  • are you jewish?

  • yups

  • you dawg i herd you like exploring so i oput internet explorer on super mario bros so you can explore while you explore

  • actually I beat the entire Super Mario 64 on this thing, and i would pause then switch to the internet to check my email then go back to playing...

  • nevermind this one is the best !

  • hahahaha, not the bookshelf arcade?

  • Holy crap. That is simply amazing.

  • thanks!

  • that's so awesome

  • thanks

  • cool

  • Now that's what I call multi-tasking!

  • indeed!

  • ah this makes me think of that giant NES controller storing... trunk..thing.. thats out there! but this is equally awesome imo

  • I saw that NES controller trunk thing, that thing was AWESOME!

glad you liked the coffee table!

  • I actually like this idea

  • yeah, me too... i play both of my arcades all the time!

  • awesome x3

  • Favorite Arcade Game = Donkey Kong!

  • haha i dunno what my fav oldskool one is

  • thats why you need an arcade at home to test them all out and decide!

  • haha xD best thing I have is all the NES games on my PSP it has some old Arcade stuff on there

mm but like if you want to go further in time Street Fighter II was prolly a fav

  • lol multitasking taken to a whole new level

  • lol, I like to accomplish a lot of lazyness at one time...

  • that table looks a tad bit small. But I love the idea.

  • im just a little too tall for it...

but i can say that i played the entire Super Mario 64 game on that thing!

  • what if you spill something

  • Hmmm, I guess you could caulk the glass cover so that nothing will get under and ruin the screen... but i havent done that...

  • I really dont get the joke... :(

but thanks for liking the invention

  • Ehh....not a joke

  • maybe you should also put a tv screen with that :P

  • well theres a tv screen right above it, so you can play arcade while watching tv, while eating snacks! :)

  • dude u guys make the coolest stuff how much for the table? lol

  • Thanks!

This arcade coffee table cost us around $200 to make, but sorry, its not for sale.

    Thanks for watching though...

  • how old are you...?

  • old enough...

  • How does it have almost every arcade game?

  • you can download Emulators and Games for pretty much every system to play on your computer...

I played and beat the entire Super Mario 64 on that coffee table... :)

  • lol no snacks?

  • lol i had a few cookies out but i ate them before i filmed.... :(

  • i actually like it. i think its i cool idea... then comes the microsoft surface

  • thanks!

lol, until that actually comes out, ill settle for my $200 Coffee Table :)

  • cool

  • but ur neck must hurt !!

  • lol, only after ive been playing for a while does it start to hurt, but only because im tall....still its totally worth it!

  • OMG. I WANT ONE. So i can play games and all that.

  • that is so cool. :-) attention mean commenters: its called stupid inventions, not seriousinventions, he's TRYING to make u laff, so dont be all "wow thats so stupid" cuz that's partly the point.

  • hahaha Exactly!

practicality is thrown completely out the window when i try to come up with these inventions!

  • They had these at ol Baxters in Westwood back in the late 80s. They were awesome. They were 2 player as well, one from each end of the table. =D

  • Yea there is one in a marie's calender over here.

  • They already had that in the 80's, I remember seeing them when I was a kid camping at the YMCA. Search donkey-kong-arcade-cocktail-table.jpg on google

  • cool! donkey kong is my favorite arcade game! i sure wish i had on of those! but notice it says cocktail table and not coffee table...

the goal here was to make more of an actual coffee table into an arcade...but i will admit that this one is more of a creation and not an invention, but check out the rest of my videos and youll see some real inventions that i hope you like, :)

  • why do u commenters have to be so anti semitic?!!!

  • thats already been invented theres one at a burger joint in bellingham

  • true, but we wanted to make one that was a coffee table first and an arcade second... and have it cost only about $200...

But i will admit this one is more of a creation then an invention, but please check out the rest of my videos and i think youll be satisfied that those are inventions, lol

  • i have a feeling that "we" here at stupid inventions... is just you.

  • lol, i would say its 90% me, i have some help from friends and family behind the scenes...

  • cool

  • OMG THAT IS THE COLLEST INVENTION EVER YOU COULD TOTALLY SELL THAT!!!! where did you get the (idk what its called but im gonna call it a ..) joystick board for your invention.

By the way i watch all ur vids

  • there are companies that sell these type of things for like $2000! it only cost me around $200 to make.

its called the X-Arcade and i got it online for about $100. It was the most expensive part of this invention, but its made from actual arcade parts and is guaranteed for life..

for the Bookshelf Arcade I used a cheap joystick from china that only costs about $20..

  • this is brilliant!

  • thanks man!

but check out my Hidden Bookshelf Arcade, thats my favorite!

  • JEW!!!

  • um, your point?

  • ...idk

  • then why did you write it?

its pretty obvious that i am...

  • yep..it is

  • PAC MAN!!

  • wakka-wakka-wakka!

  • that would be an invention worth investing in. From the video game sounds, I bet its Pac-Man, 5 stars!

    -Hawkeye

  • thanks!

    good guess!

I actually specifically chose Pac-Man to play because it the most popular arcade game, not to mention the best sounds...

  • look like you jamed somes sort laptop into the coffe tale XD

  • someone gave me a laptop with a broken screen for free, so there is a laptop underneath, and a monitor underneath the glass...

  • thats AMAZING

  • thanks!

  • The Arcade Coffee Table has already been in use for ages with the tabletop coin op machines of yore.

  • true, those are generally referred to as Cocktail Arcades...

The two are similar, but my goal was more to make an arcade out of an old coffee table...so maybe its not technically an "Invention" it's still fun to play!

  • I have fond memories of playing Ms. Pac Man while quaffing a beer and eating onion rings on one. :) I agree, it would be fun to play.

  • oh, it really is!

im playing regular pac-man in this video.... :)

  • i wish i had the money to make one waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • it cost me about $200 to make this one...

the most expensive part were the controls, theyre professionally made from actual arcade parts and cost about $100...

I used a much cheaper control stick from china in my next arcade (video should be up now) and that arcade only cost about $100 to make!

  • I would like to have one of theese.

  • awesome job stupid

  • thanks!

  • I WANT TO BUY ONE HOW MUCH????

  • lol my brother would go crazy for one of those! Nice work :)

  • thanks!

yeah it has controls for two players, so i play my little brother all the time!

  • lol

  • good job

  • thanks!
