Wow. This was a biggie in a relationship I had with my first love. I can remember him making me a mix of songs on a cassette and this was on it. He knew exactly what kind of songs I loved. I took the tape with me on a family vacation to Florida and listening to this song thinking how much I loved this man. See-he was stationed in Georgia and I lived up North. A long distance love affair that led to much pain in the end:( Love shows me the way...
This one was always my favorite on the album, and it still is. For me, it's brings the whole album together. It's their most lush, moving moment, the one time where everything seems to fall in place just right. A lot of the other tracks are dated, delivering that distinctively late 80s/early 90s Euro R&B sound, but not this one.
@creativa15 Yeah.I never noticed that, until I looked back...Music was very good back then. But there are still good music out there. They're just not in the Top 40!!
oh wow what wonderful memories of the voice of Pauline Henry from the Chimes, I must have played this album every day in 1993, I adored it, her voice is so fantastic I adored it what became of her?
Where are you from Baby Girl ? I am originally from Brooklyn, New York. I have been a Chimes Fan and Still is. Love their music. Pauline Henry has a wonderful voice and the band exceptional!! I still have their tapes and CD'S; Those songs still keep me jumpin after all those years!!
i really appreciate seeing that The Chimes had such a large following. I have this cd in my car and it has been each car that i have had since 1994! All of my friends to this day when it's playing ask me "who is this?". Pauline and the group deserved so much more credit for thier contribution the the house music scene.
You are so right! Their debut cd was never off my stereo 89 - 90! This is just a beautful song! Pauline Henry's voice! Just awesome. She should have been a bigger solo star!!
This album is soooo good! Love True Love, Love Come To Mind, Heaven, Love So Tender & the rest of them! Driza Bone's good too! Brightest Star, Hit, Real Love & Pressure!
this was the first time ever that i've known who put this song out and it is the only one that i ever heard, but an associate said that there were other better known, more popular songs on this track--is this so?
I meant Heaven, i really dont think there is any other good song on that album, i bought that with big enthusiasm back then, i was a bit disappointed.
Nothing but respect for this group, tune sounds as fresh as a daisy...a mark of class as far as I am concerned.
